Zooty
1."I don't think coming in late hurt his chances. I think because he can't punt might hurt his chances." 2."I don't know what his status is. I don't even know who he is." 3."Dumb guys sulk and pout. You never see smart guys pout. Hey, they are paid very well. If they don't do the job, somebody's gotta get on 'em. The good players always react the way they should." 4."He probably checked the job market out there and found there wasn't a lot of demand for return specialists that won't block." 5."Cap Boso? How could I cut a guy with a name like that?" 6."Trade him for a six pack; it doesn't even have to be cold." 7."I could hardly see across the field, and I'm sure they couldn't, either. They'd run a play, and I didn't know who had the ball or what was going on." 8."I think with me what you see is what you get. But some people don't like what they see." 9."It's good to have friends, but you want to beat them just like you do your enemies." 10."Football kickers are like taxi cabs. You can always go out and hire another one." 11."We might have the worst bunch of guys together we've ever seen as a football team. I don't know what anybody else has, but I'd trade mine with anybody, sight unseen." 12."The Cowboys knows we're going to beat them, they just don't know how." 13."Oh, I like that middle linebacker that you got. He's a hell of a player. He's big, he's fast and he's tough. I think he'd qualify to play for me." 14."Coaches didn't like it because it made them look bad. We hit a lot of quarterbacks, and that was one of the things coaches were a little tender about." 15."They'll have to be carted off in body bags." 16."It was so easy my wife could have made them, and she didn't even know these guys." [On the team's roster cuts] 17."Mr. Halas hired me to coach the defense. That's what I did."

darin3
6. "Trade him for a six pack; it doesn't even have to be cold." That was my favorite.
darin3
RIP..Cheesesteaks on Zooty..lol As a Bears fan I don't even think of him as the Philly coach... to me, he was just the architect/engineer of the 4-6 that made that '85 Bears team simply dominant. There would be no fun Ditka skits on SNL if Ryan's defense wasn't so effing crazy good.
MorningMud
Now I will be rooting for the Ryan brothers this year. RIP Buddy. Have to love guys willing to be themselves.
Def.
Now I will be rooting for the Ryan brothers this year. RIP Buddy. Have to love guys willing to be themselves. Whoa whoa whoa...slow your roll there. Rex and Rob are quite possibly the crappiest and most overrated coaches in the league. Buddy (RIP) deserves every bit of accolades he receives, however his sons should be coaching in the collegiate level at best.

My guess is they will be coaching "for their Dad" this year though. Besides, I'll wish almost anyone who lost a parent a good year. No need to keep piling on.
