Dcat
This is over. Finally. The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals denied Brady an en banc re-hearing. His suspension for weeks 1-4 is now definite. For those who have Brady in Keeper leagues or plan to draft Brady in rounds 6 or 7 (where he is typically going in 12-team redrafts), you will need a later round QB pick with a decent week 1-4 schedule. Also, Brady's Bye is week 9. Since I have Brady in a Keeper league, I put all the week 1-4, and week 9 schedules for QBs likely to still be there after round 10 onto a spread sheet. My choices for Brady's "back-up" boiled down to these 2: Matt Ryan: week 1: Tampa Bay week 2: @ Oakland week 3: @ New Orleans week 4: Carolina week 9: @ Tampa Bay except for Carolina, that's a damned good schedule to fill in while Brady serves his prison sentence. Also, Ryan has a history of starting the season strong and then fading. He'll be my main choice to back up Brady Kirk Cousins: Usually drafted around the same round as Matt Ryan or a little earlier. week 1: Pittsburgh week 2: Dallas week 3: @ New York Giants week 4: Cleveland week 9: Bye too bad he has the same Bye week as Brady, but that's one damned set of piss-poor passing defenses in weeks 1-4. Looking at all the others that are likely to be on the board after round 10 (Taylor, Stafford, Tannehill, Carr, A. Smith, Flacco) I think Cousins and Ryan are the best options for a Brady surrogate for weeks 1-4. If you go with Cousins, then you'll need another pick up for week 9. stethant
You know there's always Jimmy... So the Pats over the first 4 weeks play: Arizona, Miami, Houston, and Buffalo. I'd probabaly rather take my chances with Cousins or Ryan. Of the two maybe I'd go Cousins. With the exception of the 2014 Falcons annihilation of the Bucs, it looks like Atlanta averages around 3TDs a game facing the Bucs and they're playing them twice. Plus Ryan has to face Carolina, granted now without Norman. I think there's more potential for Cousins to throw a monster or two in his games.
Zooty
I'm just not going to draft him or if I do it will be as my #2 because he was still there.
loaf
Brady'll have around 15 TDs and 900 yards in his comeback game against the Browns
stevegrab
Or he could appeal to the US Supreme Court, and they could put the suspension on hold while deciding whether to hear the case, or as they hear it. Very doubtful, but possible. I'm in a keeper league and pretty sure he'll be kept by his owner, so nothing to worry about.

Not going to happen. I drafted Brady in a best ball league but that's about the extent of what kind of investment I'd make in him this year. He could have some hugh "f you" games. If you have Brady, get Garappolo. Don't care who they're playing. They will let him chuck it.
stethant
Taking a closer look at Cousins - his stats against those opponents last year were actually less impressive than Ryan's against his. A few 1 TD games. Did not expect to see that. Hopefully Cousins does better this year. I wonder if QBBC might be a better approach in the short term? Shaft
It's amazing he still got a whole season out of it, meaning he played a whole year before he had to face his punishment. This is the result of two strong willed parties colliding, a year delayed suspension.
