dtrain521
I'm in a 10 team standard scoring league start 1 qb 2 rb 2 wr 1 flex 1 TE. We can keep 4 guys and right now I have AJ Green, David Johnson, Demaryius Thomas, Thomas Rawls, Carlos Hyde, Matt Forte, Donte Moncrief. The Hyde vs. Rawls debate has been killing me because I like both of their talents but what it comes down to is Rawls might have some competition but being on a better team game flow will favor him over Hyde and the Niners. I'm leaning towards the first 4 guys I mentioned but would appreciate any feedback. Thank you! Edited July 15, 2016 by dtrain521

KCJones
Hyde. He will be getting a lot of touches in Kelly's offense. Rawls is also coming off a serious injury.

dtrain521
I agree with you guys there, less competition for touches and Chip loves to run it. I just don't know if I can see that team being successful enough to where game flow favors handing the ball off 15+ times. Keepers lock for me first week of August so I will be monitoring Rawls camp activity closely for sure. Appreciate the feedback!
KCJones
I have a feeling that the 9ers will be more competitive than people think.
8rattoon
Do you lose so the rounds in which they were drafted last year?

AJ Green, David Johnson, Demaryius Thomas, Thomas Rawls for me Not sure I understand the competition for touches angle. Chip uses multiple backs and Draughn, though he isn't great has been getting decent press and was adequate last season. They also have Mike Davis coming back and spent a 4th on another RB. Not saying Hyde won't start and play the bulk but with Kelly's up-tempo offense he rotates back and uses multiple guys. Hyde is bigger guy as well somewhat in Demarco Murray mold and that was an epic failure when Chip couldn't figure out to use him. Oh and Hyde seems to get dinged up a lot too. Meanwhile in Seattle, Rawls competition for touches in the run game is Christine Michael, who maybe someday will get his shot, a rookie 3rd down back in Prosise and 2 other rookies they drafted late. I think Rawls has less proven competition than Hyde and also a coach who is more prone to using a bell-cow back. But maybe I'm jaded after watching Chip in Philly last year and drafting Hyde early.

Appreciate the response man. Valid point, who's to say that Hyde will be more like Mccoy and not Demarco?
Zooty
Appreciate the response man. Valid point, who's to say that Hyde will be more like Mccoy and not Demarco? What in Hyde's career has he ever done that looks like McCoy? They aren't the same type of back. He's more like Murray in build and if Chip is going to pound him into the middle of the line like he wanted to do with Murray, he will need the interior OL to do it and I'm not sure he has that in SF. Just more reason for me to feel better about Rawls over Hyde
Sschar2
I'd have to go with the first 4 also. I'd honestly even keep Matt forte over Hyde, maybe even demaryius, but that might be taking it too far. Roll with the first 4.
