Sschar2
Hi, I am in a 12 team standard scoring keeper league with 1qb, 2rbs, 2wrs, 1te, and flex. We are allowed to keep 3 players where we drafted them originally. I have 4 players that I am undecided on keeping. Gronk- 2nd round Lesean McCoy- 3rd round Julian Edelman- 6th round Cam Newton- 8th round Would you guys keep Gronk in the 2nd round or try to get him there during the draft? I was thinking of keeping McCoy, Edelman, and Newton. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!
tdybaz
IMO Gronk is such a mismatch at TE (even in fantasy), and with him being only a 2nd round pick, I'd keep him for sure. I'd keep Cam because even if he doesn't get better, his numbers were great last year, even without his #1 WR. I love Edelman because he's always undervalued, even with Brady who looks to him a lot, but I'd understand wanting to keep McCoy.
dtrain521
Cam is must keep at the 8th round slot. Gronk in the 2nd for sure. Between Mccoy and Edelman I'm actually torn. I feel like you could certainly end up drafting Mccoy if you wanted him in the 3rd. Edelman in the 6th is good value but I personally think Mccoy has greater upside. I think Martellus Bennett will certainly steal targets away from Edelman this year. Please take a look at mine if you have the time http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?/topic/463472-keeper-question/
Sschar2
So all of these players will be gone in the first and second rounds because of keepers: A. Brown, Gurley, D. Johnson, Beckham Jr., Allen Robinson, Jordy Nelson, Freeman, Hopkins, Mike Evans, maybe Lamar Miller, Kelvin Benjamin, and Keenan Allen. My question is who should I target in the first round? A rb or receiver? 1st option: If I have one of the first 3 picks, I would probably go Julio or AJ Green. I'd then be pretty balanced overall. I could either grab players like Cobb, Floyd, Decker, Baldwin, Demarco, Ryan Mathews, Hyde, etc. 2nd option: However, if I have a pick like 6-12, should I go rb or receiver? I could get an elite rb like Leveon, AP maybe, Ezekiel Elliot, Eddy Lacy (I think he'll be great this year). Or I could go with a good consistent receiver like Marshall or Dez. When the 4th round comes around though, I just don't think the quality of receivers will be good enough to have a strong enough team. Any advice would be much appreciated!
