Keeper advice

Recommended Posts

I keep going back and forth with who to keep, ive made a few posts and mike evans is the winner every time. However i just realized tyler lockett is available...queue the confused faces...our leage is .5ppr and return yards count. So besides that, for a rookie, he did well in seattles offense last year and with the loss of beast mode and the emergence of seattles passing game i can see lockett being really really good. He finished 9th in total points for wrs in my league last year, 53 points above evans, which is the difference of 500 yards receiving or 9tds. I expect evans to produce more than last year, td wise, not yardage, or atleast 53 fantasy points worth. Both players count as my 6th rd pick, difference being evans will cost me about $75 to keep and lockett only $20, in a league thats already a couple hundred dollar buy in. Thoughts?

Wow. At first glance I said "Evans", easy peasy. However, with those massive return yards and the probability of Lockett's increased touches on offense, I think you have to go with him instead.

That hurts to say as a Buccaneer fan (and as a guy who has Evans on his keeper team), but your league's scoring system is set up for someone like Lockett to really succeed. Just make sure and do your research to ensure 1) Lockett remains their main returner, and 2) he's going to get more touches this year.
