Scorcher
I just joined a league that has IDP and I have never played IDP before. It is a 10 team league. In a draft when do IDP players start going? How are their points scored? Are there places on the Huddle that rate IDP players?
Footballjoe
The Huddle has a Cheat Sheet for IDP players but you need to be a member to access it. As far as when to draft a lot depends on how many players of each position you start but usually you are best to fill your offensive players first. Dolphin_Akie
the crucial thing with IDP is to understand the scoring and how that affects value in relation to each position on the defense as well as compared to offensive players. Each league is different giving more or less weight to tackles, turnovers and sacks etc.
Zooty
depends on scoring and how many you need to start and what positions for example: Dline or separate DT and DE?

keggerz
What Zooty, DA and FBJ said. Here's a link to the Huddle Expert IDP draft that's going on right now that might help some with where and when players go: http://www78.myfantasyleague.com/2016/options?L=19869&O=17 Edited August 18, 2016 by keggerz

Dcat
There are 3 defensive positions LB, DT, S. I think you mean: DL (either Dt or DE), LB, DB (either S or CB). Hard to believe you have to start a DT instead of a DE and likewise for S over CB. Edited August 31, 2016 by Dcat

Here is the scoring: Each Sack (SK) 1 Total Tackles (TK) 0.5 Blocked Punt, PAT or FG (BLKK) 2 Each Interception (INT) 2 Each Fumble Recovered (FR) 1 Each Fumble Forced (FF) 1 Each Safety (SF) 2 Passes Defensed (PD) 1 We play 1line backer, and 1 defensive back , and 1 defense lineman

I've always said if you are going to do it jump in and do it. Your league is akin to a pinky toe dip. The problem with your type of league is that it will leave a bad taste in many owners mouths and they'll be dead set against IDP in the future. Make 'em count or don't use 'em at all, imo.

We are doing an offline draft, I got that feeling when someone took an IDP player in round 10 out of 21 and someone compared it to taking a kicker. I appreciate all your comments and help. I picked my players by the IDP sheet in the Huddle draft kit. I'll see how it goes your above comment confirmed what I was thinking.
