Draft Sweet Spot This Year?

16 team PPR QB heavy-ish redraft league. I drew first pick, and have the option to claim any of the 16 draft slots. I usually prefer 12-16 to minimize risk with my first two picks, but this is the first time (since 1992!) I've ever drawn first option. Knowing this league, first 7 picks will be Cam, Gurley, Johnson, AP, Brown, Beckham and Julio, but could go in any order. Where is your sweet spot this year?

16 teams, jeeeeeeesus. I don't know how many people here have knowledge in that format. This year, I might prefer 2 or 3. I'd be happy with either Brown/Julio/OBJ in PPR, so I might take 3rd and get the earlier pick (if it's a snake format).

Im in a 16 team redraft league as well. In my opinion, i would go with back end 12-16 depending on who you are trying to target and knowing your leagues draft tendencies, assuming this is a snake style draft, you can get two solid players to start your team that way, if qb heavy rodgers should be available and pair him up with a wr1 to start. If its not snake style, you have to pick 1st and grab brown

I don't know what QB heavy is...possibly 6pt TD instead of 4pts ??? What other stat could it be ??

Any way , I'd take either pick 1 or 16. The 3 or 4 spots you gain by picking 3/4 or 12/13 don't benefit

you as much as having back to back picks the rest of the way.

pick 1; you could end up with Brown,or any of the top 3 WR's.

picks 32/33; possibly Cooks/Demerius/Hilton/Edleman and Ingram/Martin/Lacy

pick 16/17; possibly Jordy/Robinson/Green/Keenan and McCoy/Bell/Charles or Miller or go Jordy/Rodgers.

I think 1 is better than 16

In PPR, I'd probably go toward the end of the 1st. If you can snag two guys in the Jordy/Keenan Allen realm, you'd be set with a very good WR set. For full disclosure, I am in a 16-team PPR league, but it's an auction draft, so I'm not as familiar with a 16-team snake draft setup. But I'd still rather have 2 solid WR in a PPR than a top guy (a la Brown/Julio/OBJ) and a lesser WR.
