eanenson
Looking for a good way to prepare without knowing what pick you have. Have been going through mocks, but feel like I'm not taking much information away. Thinking of doing this: Do a mock and take a player, then note players that could have been taken instead. For example you take Gurley at 5, and mark that Hopkins was available as well. Then take Arob in the 2nd and note that Jordy, McCoy and Charles were available as well. Do this for the first 6 or so rounds, then repeat the process at a different pick. Seems to be helping what positions to target in each round depending on what pick you get in the draft. I understand drafts can be unpredictable, but this could give a general idea.Thoughts? Also what pre-draft preparation do you think works best? Chucklar
That sounds like a good plan to me...it would be interesting to see who you're missing out on...I hate being sniped when I could had the guy I wanted the previous round and was trying to hold for a few picks later... bizkit
The only strategy I follow is to try and have 2 RB's & Wr;s each after the first 4 rds. Although that is not set in stone. Let the draft fall to you and use the BPA approach. Try to monitor the other teams needs so you can avoid being caught in a run on a position. For example. When Olsen goes expect a run to start on TE's. I also dont care about Bye Weeks. If you use the WW right . odds are you wont have the same roster when they kick in
Zooty
Lots of carbs to soak up the alcohol. Better if you can get your league-mates to do shots before the draft

DannyV
Great tips here. Especially waiting on a QB and TE. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVljmvPkrnc
Chucklar
This is super annoying.. outsmarting yourself. Exactly...I like the idea of having 2 RB/WR after first 4 rounds...usually I get Russell Wilson in fourth though...should probably change that up... eanenson
Appreciate the responses, my league is going 2RB, 2WR and 1 FLEX and I like the idea of getting at least 2RB and 2WR with myfirst 4 picks, but then usually end up getting screwed out of a top QB and TE that way, especially if I take a FLEX in the 5th. Any thoughts on how to approach that?
Chucklar
From an article I read, after the "top" QB's there is like an overall 10 point difference on the season...I'd be fine going 5th round QB...is it a 10 or 12'teamer? That's a difference too...in a 10 teamer you might luck out with Brees...I was able to get him in the fifth in a league...don't know how realistic that is...with a flex less guys will grab a qb so early though... Help please? http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?/topic/465149-ryan-mathews-dropped/#entry4231484 Thanks! Any thoughts on how to approach that? I'm fine going later on with QB. The likes of Manning, Rivers, Taylor... I'd be fine with those guys. Where is Fleener going in your mocks? Is he there in the 7th round? If so, I'd be fine going 3 RB/3WR/Fleener there at 7.

Any thoughts on how to approach t I have been looking at a lot of ADP charts. you should be able to get quality qb's and TE from the rounds 5-8ish
