Julio think u are?
The draft was fantastically timed so that the Dion Lewis news would come out about 12 hours after I picked him. Luckily he fell a little and that's why I took him, so it could have been worse (Picked middle of round 6; 65th overall) It's not a huge loss for my team, but should he be cut? Still available: James White Deandre Washington Darren Mcfadden Alfred Morris James Starks DGB Boldin Boyd I obviously don't want to cut him and have someone pick him up immediately, have Dion come back relatively soon and play super well. I am okay with holding him, how long is he supposed to be out (8-10 weeks)?
theirish
He probably starts on pup list which is min. 6 weeks I believe. If so I would go James white. He's going to basically do what Lewis was going to do Edited August 22, 2016 by theirish
anismith
You could hold Lewis, but who knows how BB uses him once he's back. I don't really trust patriots RB's and now I think it's just going to be a mess. I'd grab D. Washington if you want a stash. He could have the starting gig in Oakland by midseason.
robotpimp
If you need White for flex or early bye I would grab him, waiting on rookies to carve into RB1's workload could be a pain. You're pretty stacked at RB and WR, why not save Lewis and see if someone emerges to grab them after weeks 1-3? Then if everything is still vanilla on the waiver wire you can hold Lewis until you really need someone or see an upgrade. I do like D.Wash and Boyd for stash and see guys especially because you have options but having a bye week TE or depth at TE with Gates could be a good idea. Something like a Vance McDonald - could be a complete bust or the only viable receiver in SFO with that Chip offense. Jared Cook's situation got a lot better going to GBP mentioned above whether Lewis or White, there is Blount and BB never is consistent with any one guy over the course of a game or few games, Lewis could be very dynamic though but is he worth holding for 8-10 weeks? probably not. If you dump him for White you probably will want Lewis when he comes back.
FastSteve
Without any huge need right now, I would hold onto him for now & keep an eye on how things are playing out with him.
Julio think u are?
Thank you for all the input. I realized I have an IR spot, and being on the PUP fits the requirement for it. So it works out well. I did pick up James White and would love to trade the 2 of them for someone just because I hate the NE backfield. Never should have picked Lewis in the first place lol. Without that IR spot I don't know what I would have done. I thought exactly what you guys thought, I have pretty good cover for now, and could just stash him for later. But because of my frustration I probably would have just cut a player that I have no feelings toward, that's on a team I dislike, that has one of the worst fantasy RB coaches. Thanks guys!
