Yeah agree with consensus. He's seeing that specialist in NC, which is foreboding in of itself....I made a trade for Riddick and am going to try and snag Washington too (cheaply I might add...) to see what happens when the dust settles. The games I've watched Riddick hasn't looked like that bad of a runner. It's not like their O line is one of the best...

I thought JBell had concussions issues?

EDIT: I picked up Washington already. Hopefully news soon if they are going to sign someone.

If JBell, most likely he will be the starter over Washington. :smash:

there are two types of IR... return in 8 weeks or out for the season. It's unknown which they used. I think the short-term can only be used once per season.

Pretty much correct, below is some more from the NFL.com story about Abdullah going on IR, basically they don't have to designate player for return anymore, they can decide as they go. You can only do short term once.

from http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000706811/article/lions-place-ameer-abdullah-foot-on-injured-reserve

Abdullah will miss at least the next eight games. The new IR rule allows each NFL team to take one player off injured reserved after eight weeks. Unlike previous years, the designation doesn't have to be established when the player goes on IR. The Lions can make a determination based on Abdullah's recovery timeline.
