Phat Rugby
Foot injury. Went to the locker room and never returned. So happy I started him over Crowell.
1fastdoc
I stashed Riddick a couple days ago. Wonder if this will boost his numbers into RB1 territory.
Crazysight
Not broken, but he's seeing a noted foot specialist. I'm wondering if it could be a lisfranc type injury, which could actually be worse than a break. forever in debt to mo lewis
ya...as an abdullah owner im not too optimistic here....luckily i wasnt planning on leaning on him really...although he'll make me even more think at rb if hes out for awhile
Valhalla
Yeah agree with consensus. He's seeing that specialist in NC, which is foreboding in of itself....I made a trade for Riddick and am going to try and snag Washington too (cheaply I might add...) to see what happens when the dust settles. The games I've watched Riddick hasn't looked like that bad of a runner. It's not like their O line is one of the best...
kdko
Do you guys think it's worth it to drop Justin Forsett for someone with upside like Dwayne Washington or Fozzy..?

Phat Rugby
Local news reported that the Lions worked out Joique Bell today. May be a sign that the second opinion did not go well.
chipsjake
Placed on IR per cbs sports.
XFlash
I thought JBell had concussions issues? EDIT: I picked up Washington already. Hopefully news soon if they are going to sign someone. If JBell, most likely he will be the starter over Washington. Valhalla
Does anyone understand this situation? How early could he "be back"? 6 weeks?

stevegrab
there are two types of IR... return in 8 weeks or out for the season. It's unknown which they used. I think the short-term can only be used once per season. Pretty much correct, below is some more from the NFL.com story about Abdullah going on IR, basically they don't have to designate player for return anymore, they can decide as they go. You can only do short term once. from http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000706811/article/lions-place-ameer-abdullah-foot-on-injured-reserve Abdullah will miss at least the next eight games. The new IR rule allows each NFL team to take one player off injured reserved after eight weeks. Unlike previous years, the designation doesn't have to be established when the player goes on IR. The Lions can make a determination based on Abdullah's recovery timeline.
