bburdett
Saw that SD signed him, he is an elusive runner and played in the slot previously so he should be able to swap right in. He is talented enough to leapfrog the depth chart, but will he get the usage Woodhead got?
tdybaz
He probably will, if for no other reason that he and Gordon are the only two RBs on the roster, with the exception of an UDFA they have. Only issue I see is that while they're both the same height (5'8"), Woodhead is listed at 200 lbs while McCluster is listed at 170, a significant difference that will affect his usage. XFlash
as far as screen, dumps, flat, etc... he should fit in just fine. catching in the middle or a quick draw, probably not. He has done that before, but 30 lbs is quite a difference.
colkurtz
I'm not biting. He'll need well more than double his past numbers to come close to Woodhead. He won't be the redzone threat Danny was - he has 7 total receiving TDs and 2 rushing in his 6 year career. He's too small to be Gordon's cuff in the running game, and never been much of a rushing asset anyway. I see him being the west coast version of James White in ppr. Big John
well, that puts a nail in CJ Spiller's coffin. If he couldn't beat out McCluster for that job, then wow... The Packers are giving him a tryout today.
Ck_7
No love for Kenneth Farrow? He's got some wiggle.
XFlash
Saw that Ronnie Hillman in for a tryout. Hopefully SD makes a decision on who they will sign.

Valhalla
I'm worried he's out of shape and has to learn the offense and due to this probably wouldn't even take the field for several weeks anyways.
stevegrab
I thought it was an offense he knew already? Isn't one of the coaches in SD one he previous played with on antoher team? From a story I read recently "McCluster will be reuinted with Ken Whisenhunt" I think McCluster is a better add than Dwayne Washington. Some will say Ken Farrow is in line for an increase, but from a few things I read he was never much of a receiver in college and is a bigger guy (5-8 219).
Big Dogs
The question becomes, is he worth picking up in a full point PPR league
loaf
I would pick him up in full pointers...just depends on who you're dropping? did you take a flyer on the Lynch unretiring talk? He's a great candidate to let loose for him

He's a great candidate to let loose for him I've considered him (no PPR) but my bottom backup RB are Tevin Coleman, Crowell and Abdullah. (Its a keeper/dynasty and I kept Abdullah so waiting a bit before I cut him.)

Not sure I want to drop him for McCluster

loaf
(Rotoworld) ESPN Chargers reporter Eric Williams doesnt expect Dexter McCluster to pick up Danny Woodheads snaps. Analysis: McCluster will get work in pass situations, but isnt going to come close to Woodheads role. Melvin Gordon should be a near every-down back against the Colts.
