CAP

Which one is everyone going for? Do you think CAP has a shot at getting a role carved out? He seems to have the ear of the coaching staff and is only inactive due to no special teams?

Believe CAP will get most of the work in the interim and should be the target if still there on waivers. Believe once JStew is back and healthy, CAP will be inactive again and can then be released until the next JStew injury (which will probably occur between 1-4 weeks later).

Cameron Artis-Payne is expected to be Carolina’s feature back against the Vikings.

"All he’s ever needed was the opportunity," coach Ron Rivera said. "We didn’t have Stew at the end of the season, so he got his opportunity and performed really well. And then this preseason, I thought he had a good preseason." Artis-Payne was inactive the first two weeks due to his lack of special teams value. He's going to split carries with Fozzy Whittaker, but projects to get the majority of early-down work. Artis-Payne should see around 10-15 touches.
