Kenneth Dixon and the hype

He was effective as a receiver out of the backfield but the Ravens see West as the primary rusher. And most importantly, they were at home against the Browns. It will never be any better than that.

What if they are behind in a game and trying to catch up, would Dixon be the primary back in the hurry up and be thrown to a lot. West doesn't seem like a big part of the passing game?

True that could be a factor in the number of targets for him. But they also have to figure out better how to incorporate Coleman, Pryor and Barnidge. Especially Coleman.

Was Dixon traded to the Browns? ;)

I should wake up before I answer anything... :bash:

But same thing, Flacco has Steve Smith back and that makes a difference. Pitta and Wallace figure in as well.

west has been pretty inefficient the past several weeks though. before this week, you could chalk that up to the matchups (giants, jets, steelers). but 21 carries for 65 yards against the browns? ravens showed us earlier this year they didn't want to give less efficient RBs work just because they've been on the team longer.

dixon looked sharp in the passing game (assuming that means they trust him in pass protection), and averaged over 6 y/c. on only 6 carries, but still.

The hype is back after tonight's game. He could be really valuable in the final couple of weeks in the playoffs !

He looked good, but I think his usage was totally situational. They couldn't do anything with the run, so were forced to be pass happy, thus increasing his usage on passing downs/check downs. Still a nice person to have on your roster and not potentially playing against him. Still a risky play.
