Should this trade be allowed

Coach, did you like that TV show that was on last night?

Sorry, you'll need to provide more information on this like each teams rosters and why you don't think it is fair or you won't get any relevant feedback.

On the surface it doesn't look that bad to me. A top WR for a starting WR and starting RB.

I'm still confused on what makes a trade fair to people. Why are you worried about it? Someone will always win a trade. There's nothing wrong with this trade.

I disagree with this view entirely, but I also don't think that this trade is what whack. Is the guy who is getting McKinnon really screwed at RB? Is it PPR?

Well the commish is now starting Julio, Brown and Mike Evans at WR while Edleman is on The other guys bench He's starting Fitz, Sterling Shephard, and Gronk (WE/TE Flex)

Obviously the one guy is stupid if he is benched Edelman for Shephard nd Gronk in a no TE required league

The trade though looks fair to the two teams involved. One gets a starting RB for a downgrade at WR. The other gets an upgrade to his WR for a RB he probably wasn't starting.

the rest of the league however, gets the short-end of it because one team, on paper, looks really good. Darn right the should all :crybaby: Some one made themselves better and it wasn't them. Your only recourse now is to cry that the trade is unfair and the big meanies made a trade that helps only 2 teams and not the whole league

1/2 point ppr his running backs are hill sproles and Yeldon now McKinnon. So he is not any better by giving up the #1 player in fantasy

incorrect. He got much better at RB. McKinnon is a hugh upgrade over Yeldon and Sproles, not to mention he will be more consistent on a week to week basis.

is it me or are a lot of people joining the forums lately to vent about trades lol

perhaps a new forum is needed- dedicated to trade questions/complaints

so people can go there to vent---- or avoid it like the plague

What are you disagreeing with? Because I said "why are you worried about it?" If there's no collusion, there's no real issue. A WR1 got traded for a WR2 and a RB2.

every year. In the past there were enough other threads that the volume wasn't as noticeable. Technically they seem like advice to me, "Should I veto", "Is it fair"? SO maybe they should all be in the advice forum

I disagree with the "why are you worried about it" philosophy. Not your judgement on this particular case... I agree in this case that this trade is not too unbalanced. But the knee jerk "No trades are unfair unless you have evidence of collusion" is kind of silly in my opinion.

Obviously if the trade is very lopsided it gives one team an unfair and unearned competitive advantage. If I traded my top 3 studs (Brown, Marshall, and Evans) for garbage (Vereen, Marshawn Lynch, and Keenum) to another team, it makes sense that the other teams would care becuase this means that whoever received my 3 studs is now highly likely to win the league.

I'm not sure how you would "earn" an advantage in fantasy football, but I digress. Fair enough, but then I would suspect collusion in that situation. And that is an issue. That's why it's best to play with seasoned players or players you know, so you don't have to worry about that kind of BS. That's a huge benefit to most of the BoTH leagues.

You earn an advantage by drafting well or making waiver pickups before other people. Having someone randomly give you 3 great players for nothing is unearned.

I think the question is always case by case for these trades.

Actually, I would contend it was more than earned. He is trading from a position where he's strong to improve his team. I think we all can agree that the point of trading is to make your team stronger. In this guy's case, he obviously has.

Interesting perspective and I would have to agree because I know I work my azz off to get a trade in my BoTH leagues.

i don't understand why people get so wound up about other teams' trades. i could never picture myself getting upset about other teams' trades unless it was blatant, obvious collusion.

and this kinda thing bothers me because it makes it harder to pull off trades that improve both teams' rosters, because it makes (some) fantasy owners needlessly paranoid that they're always getting played, even in trades that makes their team better. a healthy league should have a fair amount of trading in my opinion.

when people judge a trade that doesn't involve them against their own (irrelevant) roster, every trade it will seem like one side won, typically the side that received the best player in the trade, because you can always say "but i would have given Mark Ingram and Brandin Cooks!" but if the trade improves both teams' rosters, then both teams won the trade. if the mckinnon owner had good depth at WR, and not much at rb (and depending on the size of the league, yeldon/sproles likely count as "not much"), then he probably also "won" the trade in terms of improving his own roster.
