Inziladun
Anyone who's familiar with Yahoo, if you could shed some light on the situation. Two teams have been "skipped" on waiver priority twice now in two weeks. So here's the situation, so I don't struggle too much trying to explain it. Teams are listed in order of priority: Team A: Waiver claim 1 Tyrod Taylor Team B: Waiver Claim 1 Tyrod Taylor Waiver Claim 2 Chris Hogan Waiver Claim 3 Sammie Coates Team C: Waiver Claim 1 Chris Hogan Team D: Waiver Claim 1 Sammie Coates After waivers clear Team A obviously gets Tyrod Taylor, however team C gets Hogan and Team D gets Sammie Coates. Maybe I'm fundamentally misunderstanding how waivers work, but shouldn't team B get the next player in his queue? Instead it seems like he's trying to pick Tyrod Taylor, the script says the player is already taken and instead it skips his turn. By the time waiver's come back around to him his 2nd and 3rd choices are already gone.. so he gets stuck with nada despite having 2nd waiver claim. This has happened to two different teams, supposedly. Anyone know if there's some obscure setting in Yahoo's league rules that would affect this. Montana is da Man
I have 3 leagues in yahoo, 2 where I'm commissioner and I haven't seen this happen. Are you able to see the teams waiver claims or are you going with this based off what they tell you?
Inziladun
Unless there's a way to check, I'm going based on what they tell me. So I'm slightly skeptical I guess. But I have known these guys for awhile and I don't think they'd completely make something like this up. Only reason I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt though is because he was literally second in waiver priority. So unless he completely dropped the ball for some reason and forgot about it... I don't see how he'd walk away with zero players. The past incidents I'd chalk up to my buddies being dumb, but are worth taking into consideration when investigating the former.
etrain1234
Yeah....B should have gotten Hogan. Can't say I've seen that issue before.
loaf
I have thought that I've been skipped in the past but never brought it up. I've seen this happen
stevegrab
I know on CBS after waivers are run I can see who I got and who I didn't and why. Haven't had any denied waivers in a couple weeks so cannot recall where I see them. If Yahoo has something like that I'd suggest asking those owners to show you that info, get a screen grab or something. Maybe they submitted an invalid request (add X drop Y, then dropped Y before waivers). Sounds strange, and if there were a serious glitch on a site like Yahoo I'd think there'd be more people affected. Might also browse this page about waivers on Yahoo maybe there's something there https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN6427.html Edited October 12, 2016 by stevegrab
