Briggssteel
I'm definitely down on Forte right now and would like to trade him if I could, but is it possible his poor production has been a product of schedule? 2 of his poor games are against KC and Seattle. He should have done better against Pitt. Coming up this year though he's got Cleveland, Miami twice, LA, Indy and San Francisco. I've got Powell either way but I'm wondering if he starts getting back to at least average production after Arizona.
anismith
I think trying to trade Forte at this point would be a mistake. I have a bunch of him and am down on him as well, but everyone else is too.You def won't get max value for him. If you want to try to flip him, I'd wait till he has a decent game. I think you are right it was partly the schedule and he's been a little bit dinged up. I don't think he'll be the monster we saw the first few weeks, nor the disappointment of the last few weeks going forward.
ajosc78
Forte trade question: In standard scoring, with starting 2 RBs, 12 team league. I own Devonta Freeman (same bye week as Forte/Powell) Forte and Powell for Tevin Coleman and Gio Bernard. Thoughts? Is this selling low? About right? Briggssteel
That's tough. I might do it. Coleman has produced. It's odd that him and Freeman are keeping up this pace as a committee. I don't think I can recall seeing that kind of production from 2 backs before.
awahl63
1978 Chicago Bears Walter Peyton - 1395 rushing yards plus 50 receptions and 480 yards. 11 TDs Roland Harper - 942 yards plus 43 receptions and 340 yards. 8 TDs. AP and Chester Taylor also tore it up his rookie year.
Briggssteel
Thanks for the info. It seems to be a pretty rare thing in any case. You just have to wonder if they can keep it up.
colkurtz
He's heavily TD dependent and both Cleveland and Miami are doing pretty well in TDs allowed. Could get chunks of yardage with the Miami games though. His value is too low for a trade right now IMO.
Briggssteel
I agree with his value. I may go for a trade when he's got another good game. I don't understand how he's not used in the passing game more. He was one of the better receiving backs I can remember in recent memory with the Bears.
