Jordan Howard losing his job?

The Jags are playing some good run d.

Carey is back after missing time with a bad hamstring.

The Bears like him and he's a little more explosive than Howard. I didn't think he'd get this many carries though.

Don't be foolish. He is the best back they have. He will continue to be heavily involved going forward. The coaching staff loves him. Don't sell unless you are getting something real good back.

So he didn't have 100 rushing yds. He's still the best rb option they have and imo they will continue to use him heavily.

While I agree with you I worry now that Carey is 100% and in two weeks Langford is back. Fox is the type to just play veterans over rookies even if the rookies are more talented.

Still I agree, I am not trading him unless I get something great back. I owned him in two leagues. Traded him with McKinnon for AJ Green to a guy who was decimated with injuries at the RB position. I could afford to because I am stacked at RB.

Yes. But, they never told anyone he was going to be a heavy used guy. Injuries made it that way and Carey made it back to provide some relief. He's still their #1, for whatever that means. The last half of the year, the Bears have a favorable schedule and he should be a good guy to have on your team.

Langford blew chunks when he played and Howard has looked great (minus low rushing yards this week) so I doubt they will lower his snap count by a lot since he can also help out in the passing game too.

This isn't at you personally, but this thought process annoys me to no end (maybe because I'm a Langford owner?). They played the Texans and Eagles, both are which are pretty decent against the run. And he only got 11 carries against Houston, which is pitiful for any RB.

yeah he didn't produce, but everyone makes it sound like they were playing a junior high school defense and he only averaged 2 ypc against them. And he did get in the end zone in both games... the ONLY reason Gordon is doing anything at RB, since he's only averaging 3.3 ypc (or he was before last week's game, not sure what it is now).

Anyway, /rant over, I just hope Langford gets another opportunity when he's healthy with a real QB (can't believe I called Hoyer a real QB, but he's better than Cutler at this point) behind center.

Good post and I understand where you're coming from....the only stat I had read that concerned me was one from PFF that said he was the only NFL RB with "X" carries to get tackled on first contact. Howard has proven he's no dud, so I'm not sure he'll get the pure job back when he does come back. I think we're looking at full blown RBBC, at best.
