Future RBBCs

Trying to look into the crystal ball for potential RBBCs that we may see as we head into the second half of the season. I could end up being totally wrong, but it's just a thought. Note that I am restricting myself to some teams where there is a clear every down RB who has the potential to split the workload just as a conservative approach by their teams. So the likes of Forte-Powell, Blount-White-Lewis, Freeman-Coleman don't get a mention since there is already an RBBC type situation there.

I have also tried to specifically exclude Ezekiel Elliott, David Johnson and Le'veon Bell since they are not injured currently and I don't see why their workload would be split with other RBs.

1. Buffalo : Unfortunately I hate to say this since I am a McCoy owner, but I can see a situation where McCoy plays limited snaps on Sunday and Gillislee goes off in the snaps he gets. This may cause the Bills to ponder splitting the workload between Shady and Gillislee ROS, to protect Shady for the long run, especially if they have playoff chances.

2. Denver : If Booker continues to do well and be efficient, he will eventually see more snaps and the Broncos may want to establish a CJ Anderson-Booker committee.

3. Kansas City : This one is the most probable of all. Why give a full workload to an injury-prone Charles when there is somebody so skilled and capable as Ware ? I feel the start-sit Ware/Charles is going to be a ROS headache for their owners.

4. Seattle : This is as likely as KC. We will go back to seeing the C-Mike and Rawls split. The Seahawks really want to feature Rawls and no matter how well C-Mike does, Rawls will come back and eat into his volume, possibly eventually taking over by the playoff weeks.

5. Baltimore : Dixon is just too talented to be not used when healthy. If not 50-50, I feel there will atleast be a 70-30 split between West and Dixon in the upcoming weeks.

6. Tampa Bay : Ok, we all expect Jacquizz to play the Sims role when Martin returns. But given Martin's injury record, they may want to involve Jacquizz more since he has shown he is capable, and to protect Martin.

These are just some of my thoughts. Interested to know what you guys think.

New England will be an interesting team to watch in this regard, as fantasy owners might have a James White vs. Dion Lewis headache to deal with by the time the fantasy playoffs arrive.

I also think Green Bay's situation will be really interesting to observe. Montgomery has been awfully effective out of the back field thus far, so what will that mean come Thanksgiving (or so) when James Starks is back? And in the meantime, how much of Knile Davis and/or Don Jackson can we expect?

Michael has been a nice guy for those who drafted him, but he hasn't exactly lit up defenses on a YPC basis the last few weeks. If he continues to leave yards on the field, then I'd expect Rawls to carve out a decent chunk of the work. He will certainly get mixed in, so it might depend mostly on how he looks when he returns. There doesn't appear to be any real threat from Spiller / Prosise.
