Just noticed commissioner changed schedule

Is it typical for a commissioner to change the schedule during the season of a Yahoo league? I was told it was to set up "Rivalry Week" opponents with one another, but I'm thinking it was to give me (first place team) a much tougher matchup since this upcoming week is the week I have a lot of my good players on a bye.

Anything that allows a subjective pairing is wrong. No changing the schedule ever for any reason. I have never heard of that and I've played fantasy football for 26 years.

Wrong.

Just wrong.

Holy manure, that's awful. You should try to form a coup or something to force him to change it back!

The commish actually changed it so that I play him. I'm a little heavy on bye players this week, so this is my weakest projected week so far this year. I'm guessing he changed it so that he plays me now instead of in a few weeks when I'm back at full strength. Half the league is his family, so I'm just going to deal with it.

Here's the explanation I got from a relative of the commissioner, but there was no email from August 28th:

The schedule was adjusted, as (the commissioner) said in his email on August 28 that he would adjust it to have a rivalry week when all the other Yahoo leagues do (in Week 10). Once those were made, the computer adjusts the schedule so that everyone plays twice. Based on the first half schedule, your first opponent would have been The Greatness. However, you are now playing him in the Rivalry week, so your schedule was adjusted.
