Shorttynaz
What the eff just happened? It's legal to run into the kicker now? And then the refs can hold the ball till there's 5 seconds left on the play clock to get outta the way? Horsemanure
rajncajn
I'd be livid if I was a Bills fan right now.
forever in debt to mo lewis
If I were ryan I wouldn't bring my team back out ...,that was disgraceful
Bonedaddies
New end of game strategy. Any game winning FG with a few seconds on the clock, run offside and dive into the kickers knees, hurt him and he has to come off the field for a play. Now the punter will be trying to make the game winner......crazy.
tylcook13
That was about as bad a call as I've ever seen, and the resulting implications even worse.
Apothus
The first three posts, my brother in law and I just mentioned all of this. Flabbergasted
forever in debt to mo lewis
The refs holding the ball was probably the most infuriating part of that fiasco
jamesplante11
Lmao, Pete Caroll "Sherman just miss timed the play, why would anyone think it was dirty?" Oh idk, maybe the diving at his knees part, the not trying to get back onsides part, the Richard Sherman part. hezagenius
Just further reinforces to me that Sherman is Dill Josh Gordon bag. Couldn't stand him ever since that game a few years back when he was going off about how some WR sucked after the game to the sideline reporter. Then I think he blew his knee out in the SB. (Not quite) instant karma..... And Pete Carroll is like chalupa part of Belichick dropped into a frat boy personality, amped up on coke. Bobby Brown
The NFL keeps getting worse. I thought tonight's game quality was good between the teams....but the NFL and referring keeps backing itself into a corner. Refs keep inserting themselves into questionable game changing decisions while missing obvious violations. The NFL is not soccer, and it seems more and more I'm seeing better decision making from MLS referrers in soccer than I am in football. loaf
I was texting with a friend and mentioned what a horrible and weird ending to the half this was. Refs should be ashamed as much as Sherman

dfv87
To be fair I HATE HC Ryan but even I thought that was such clusterfluck at the end of the half and then at the end of the game... Sherman must be a no calls allowed CB because that is 2 END of GAME plays that he blatantly held/fouled and no flag was thrown, of course the Julio one was worse but cmon man... refs were horrible. Piranha
As a Bills fan, I am ashamed of the NFL officiating. Every week the officials seem to be in the headlines. That's not the way this sport is supposed to be. And the 'OOPS, OH WELL' explanation's are getting tiring.
jamesplante11
Walt Anderson and his crew will not be officiating next week, but don't worry guys it has nothing to do with botched calls or flat balls.
stevegrab
Dean Blandino says Sherman should have been flagged for the hit on the kicker. http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2016/11/referee_explains_controversial_field_goal_richard_sherman_roughing_kicker_bills.html
heehawks
Sherman got to the ball first, period. After that, what happens to the kicker is irrelevant. That being said, who knows if he heard the whistle or not, either way the only penalty according to the rules of football should have been and was, offsides. As for the charcter of Sherman, that is definitley debateable.
kdko
The only people across the nation defending the play are *cough* Seahawks fans..
michaelredd9
who knows if he heard the whistle or not In the replay I've watched, there is no whistle until after the hit. After the hit, the ref toots on his whistle a bunch. With no whistle and the kicker proceeding with the kick, it's hard to fault Sherman for blocking the kick. Though it does look like Sherman might have been going at Carpenter's knee and the ball was an afterthought.
