ImNotSoIgnorant
Double checking because New England plays at 4:25. From what I've read its very likely Gronk will not play this Sunday. Any homers have more insight from local coverage?
ThatDude
From what I understand he did travel with the team
ImNotSoIgnorant
From what I understand he did travel with the team Ok. Thanks. Sadly its not saying much except that he can get on a plane without problems. Er, not that you're not saying much, just how the Pats operate. michaelredd9
he can get on a plane without problems Since Foxborough to East Rutherford is only a 3 hour drive, my guess is they took a bus. If he took a flight, I'd be more confident that he would play. The worst scenario is that he does play but is only a decoy.

If he took a flight, I'd be more confident that he would play. The worst scenario is that he does play but is only a decoy. Rotoworld says they flew: Rob Gronkowski (questionable, chest) made the trip to New York. It confirms Gronkowski is healthy enough to fly after he couldn't get clearance last week. Gronk is a true game-time decision, but is trending toward being active. Nov 26 - 2:12 PM That being said, part of the whole problem with the lung injury was being able (or not being able) to fly. Maybe they just wanted to test how he'd do on a short flight? I dunno. Not sure they'd want to risk it with them facing such a weak team and with Bennett in tow. Of course, Bennett is hurt himself so who knows.
michaelredd9
Rotoworld says they flew The guy who reported it, Jeff Howe, was questioned on twitter if he was sure they flew and didn't drive. Howe didn't seem to have specific knowledge but was confident they flew because "Yeah this ain't the 1940's". Tom Brady posted a photo on Facebook from a bus that said "next stop: New York". Personally, I think it would be crazy to fly. Flying discombobulates the body. Not all jet lag comes from changing time zones. https://www.facebook.com/TomBrady/photos/a.233362006704957.53331.214003275307497/1328940283813785/?type=3&theater https://twitter.com/jeffphowe
cmutts
Boston Globe 7:15pm reports Gronk made the flight but will be a game time decision. As a NE Homer, my gut thinks he will play a limited role, possible goal line decoy.

ImNotSoIgnorant
Sitting in both leagues I have him. Anyone starting him?
gilthorp
I have Cook playing over him at this point.
ThatDude
I think I may start him over Crabtree as my flex. Decided to go with Eifert today in my TE spot. Only issue for me is I already have Blount, Dion Lewis, Edelman starting so it looks like I'm going for broke with NE today

ThatDude
He's not playing again this year. If he comes back he won't last long. The back needs more time to heal than what's left in the season. Wishful thinking, ask JJ Watt
Wolverines Fan
Yup. Probably done for the season. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/12/01/gronkowski-family-statement-acknowledges-rob-probably-done-for-2016/
Patriots
Patriots said they do not think he is coming back this year but are waiting until after the surgery to make a final decision.
ThatDude
He's not coming back this season. It's a formality and I need them to hurry with the IR designation. My league allows placing a keeper on IR status and freeing up a roster spot
Big John
He has been put on IR today. http://boston.cbslocal.com/2016/12/03/patriots-rob-gronkowski-season-ending-ir/
michaelredd9
It will be interesting to see where Gronk gets drafted next year. After getting hurt in 2013, his adp in 2014 was 30.15. It wouldn't surprise me if his adp is even lower next year. I'll be more than happy to draft him in the mid to late 3rd round.
