Was that Dez TD a Lateral?

That bobble made Rhodes take a false step to the ball, had he of not taken that step Dez would not have scored. If Dez catches that clean he get tackled and doesn't score IMO. Great play though. Dez made some big plays in this game despite being held in check for most of the game by a very very determined Vikings D. If I am the Vikings D, Thailen gets a soap lullaby tonight.

You ever see Full Metal Jacket? They wrap soap in socks or towels and use them to lump em up. That was a bad, bad fumble. Back breaker. Special teams was lights out for the Cowboys and perhaps the worst performance of the season for the Vikings special teams.

Yes saw that movie and vaguely remember the scene. Just don't ever recall that phrase being used, maybe its common in your circle, but i usually just say something like "ass whoopin" everybody knows that that means.

As for the fumble, defender got a hand on it, after striking Thielen in the facemask with that arm. Don't see it as that bad of a play, certainly not worth beating a player. Especially not a player that has been helping the poor Vikings offense a lot.

Slow-mo close-ups start around 1:00

Sure looked like a lateral pass to me. If so it should be counted as a rushing TD and not a pass.

(can you tell I'm playing against Dak in two leagues?)

To this original question, I thought it was very close. I replayed it several times and thought it might be a lateral - especially when you consider that Dak's hand (so his release point) would have been slightly ahead of where his feet were. It was really really close - but couldn't see anything definitive either way.

(full disclosure - I have Dak in a couple of leagues)

fwiw I'm facing Dak.

It was obviously very close. I've seen it multiple times and I just can't tell. I don't think there's enough there for a stat change
