Bronco Steve_85
I made the championship game in 3 of my 6 leagues... in one of the other 3 I didn't make the playoffs, another one lost in the 1st round and the other I lost last week in the semifinals... I want to tell you about that team lol... it caused more stress for me than any other team I have EVER owned and it was cause they were all mistakes made by ME! I started the year out with CJ Anderson and Latavius Murray at RB... right after week 1 "they"(anytime I use this word I am talking about the fantasy experts) start trashing Murray... saying the only way he will be valuable is on goal line carries... so I pick up Jordan Howard... and when Murray eventually gets hurt "they" start saying well DeAndre Washington should get a stranglehold on the job now... I drop Murray pick up Washington lol... I'm good with Howard and CJ for some weeks till CJ gets hurt... I'm pretty sure at about this time is when Jordan Howard has his 2 point stinker where Kadeem Carey out snapped him and outgained him... so "they" immediately say well with Langford due back soon your looking at a time share in Chicago between 3 backs... so I drop Howard and pick up Rob Kelly... keep in mind this whole time I'm stashing Rawls but I'm weak at WR by this point with my starters being AB then Landry and Marvin Jones... around this time I get Ty Montgomery and I actually played him for his 1st near 20 point outburst... I also picked up CJ Prosise... around week 10 I'm feeling damn good about my team... Mariota, AB, Landry, Rob Kelly, Prosise, Gates and Ty at flex... so I drop Rawls and 2 other bench players and stash Moncrief, Watkins, and Ladarius Green.... Prosise gets hurt, McCarthy is blind to the fact that Ty Mont is the best option in their backfield, "they" say it was good while it lasted with Ty but time to look else where... so I pick up Kenneth Dixon and Dion Lewis... so I actually start Rob Kelly and Dixon from week 12 on... the one move that could have saved it all was me dropping Ryan Mathews to pick up Dwayne Washington last week just based off matchup... I honestly thought the Ravens were gonna trash the Eagles and Carson was gonna have to throw it 50 times and that Washington was gonna run all over the Giants... I'm not gonna blame "they" for any of this cause after all it is just advice and I don't think they once said to DROP any of the guys I did LOL... so I had to start Kenneth Dixon and Rob Kelly in my semifinal game and being honest they didn't do horrible... but I could have used Jordan Howard, Ty Montgomery or Ryan Mathews this past week... anyone of those guys in place of Dixon would have won my game for me... Sorry so long but this team was honestly in shambles... I actually traded away Michael Thomas for Marcus Mariota straight up cause I had to... It was a QB carousel til I acquired him... so I'm actually proud that I made it to the 3rd place game to win back at least half of my entry fee...
DanTheMan_5
Mine was a blessing in disguise. I traded Crowell for Jamal Charles the week before Charles came back. Crowell went into the dumpster, then Charles was quickly put on IR, but I was fortunate not to have to decide between Crowell and Riddick every week. Riddick was no great shakes, but he did better than Crowell most weeks.
Scorcher
i was offered Melvin gordon for Amari Cooper early in the season and I turned it down. I had Marshall and it looked like he was tanking so I wanted to hold on to Cooper. The week I turned Gordon down he ended up with 3 Td's for that game. anismith
I spent 40 FAAB to pick up Martin and later CJ Prosise... got almost nothing out of them and this hamstrung me from making other critical acquisitions. In line with Scotcher, I did not trade Marshall for Melvin Gordon. I also dropped Powell a week before Forte's injury... had him the whole season. Doh! Helmholtz_Watson
"They" screwed me as well on Howard. I traded him for spencer ware the week before the 2 point stinker and now in facing him in the championship. I'd much rather have Howard than Ware now. Grrrrr You win some and you lose some. "They" are also the reason I picked us Montgomery an hour before kickoff on Sunday and that put me in a good position to win The game. Khurtz
So I'm actually in the championships but along the way I made a ton of bad trades and drops such as dropping Michael Thomas for Mike Wallace I think in week 2. Here are my 4 trades:1) Traded Tyrell and Wallace for Maclin around week 5 as I thought Maclin would blow up after having a bunch of bad matchups and that Tyrell would fall behind Travis Benjamin while Wallace fell behind Steve Smith. Terrible idea. 2) LeGarrette Blount and Quincy Enunwa for Eddie Lacy also in Week 5 as I thought Blount would lose steam when Lewis came back and that Brady would throw more and they'd rotate RB's more. Also though Enunwa was less consistent than he was for the few weeks after I traded him and that Lacy would bounce back and had a better schedule. 3) Jarvis Landry, Eddie Lacy, Mike Gillislee for Antonio Brown was the only really good trade I made and it was right when McCoy went down and they didn't know how long he'd be out and Roethlisberger went down and they were saying 4-6 weeks for his injury. Landry was doing ok and I thought Lacy still had a shot at being good in 2-3 weeks as it'd just been announced he'd aggravated his ankle injury. So I thought I was trading a handcuff that could be an RB1, a potential high end RB2 and what I thought was a super solid WR3/Low end WR2 for AB without Big Ben which seemed fair to me. Also the guy who had AB really didn't like him and actually didn't want to draft him but had first pick. The sad part was literally 1-2 hours after the trade Lacy got put on IR kind of out of nowhere but the guy I traded with said it was fine even though I offered to give him Tevin Coleman when he was doing super well. 4) Jeremy Maclin, Jack Doyle, Devontae Booker for Alshon Jeffery and Deangelo Williams was the last trade I did and it was literally hours before CJ Anderson was announced to be out. My thought process was that Maclin still had a chance to rebound, as did Jeffery, but that Jeffery obviously looked to be the better talent while Doyle was a fill in TE for a team that was weak at TE and Booker was going to be a solid by week high end RB2 fill in for them as well. D Will was really a throw in since I had Bell and didn't want to risk D Will ending up on the waiver wire as I wouldn't have gotten him. This actually doesn't look like the worst deal in hindsight since Jeffery helped me out last week and Maclin, Doyle and Booker are all just about worthless now. So 2 awful trades, 1 excellent trade and 1 trade that's somewhere in the middle. I knew I should've held on to Michael Thomas though... MTSuper7
I traded Tyrell Williams and Cameron Brate for DeAndre Hopkins because "they" said Hopkins was a buy low.
kdko
Dropped Michael Thomas for Justin Forsett before week 1 after word of his release. I thought I was being sneaky since Forsett ended up getting resigned, but I was the big loser in the end. Also traded Edelman and Fat Rob for Diggs. This was in PPR, and before Gronk went down, so I thought I was getting an upgraded PPR WR. Kelley had the hardest remaining schedule for a RB so I felt like I was getting the upper hand... Shaft
Around week 6 I traded Blount for Jeffery.
Helmholtz_Watson
I had a really good draft but I made lots of trades that I ended up not winning. 1) traded Blount and DT for forte 2) traded forte, McCoy, Julio and Matt Ryan for Bell, Martin, KBenjamin and Emmanuel Sanders 3) traded Delanie walker and booker for Bernard 4) traded Bernard, Benjamin and Minnesota Defense for Olsen and Jordy 5) traded Jordy for J-Stew 6) traded Marriotta, Sanders and Howard for Evans and Ware Obviously I like to trade lol. Despite some of these bad trades I'm in the championship for the second year in a row and looking to win a nice chunk of change.
Dawgpound23
I traded Cooks, Howard and Riddick for Julio(PPR) right before his 12 for 300 game. I had many weeks where it worked for me, and a few where it didn't...but that happens. As it stands, I'm still in the 'ship in that league with Julio being out the last 2 weeks. Thanks Gabriel. Finn5033
One league I traded Cobb and Blount for Hopkins in week 4. Lost 5 games in a row after that and thought my season was over. Ended up making the playoffs at 7-6 and am playing in the championship this week. In another league I traded Howard for Will Fuller after Fullers fast start. That ended up being the worst trade I've ever made. I had a bunch of good RBs and was hurting at WR so I thought it made sense at the time. Ended up going 3-10 in that league. It wasn't just because of that trade but it had a lot to do with it
