Kansas State 2000
UPDATED 9-25-04 This is my list TODAY ... it will change during the course of the year. Kyle Orton wins the award if Purdue continues to win and he keeps his pace up. Quarterbacks: #1 Kyle Orton Yards - 982 Total TD's - 15 Int. - 0 Comp. % - 70 #2 Matt Leinart Yards - 1047 Total TD's - 10 Int. - 1 Comp. % - 64 #3 Jason White Yards - 708 Total TD's - 6 Int. - 1 Comp. % - 72 #4 Sonny Cumbie (SLEEPER) Yards - 1715 Total TD's - 12 Int. - 8 Comp. 61.3 RunningBacks: #1 Wali Lundy Yards - 399 Total TD's - 10 Avg. per Carry - 5.3 #2 Cedric Benson Yards - 558 Total TD's - 5 Avg. per Carry - 8.7 #3 Darren Sproles Yards - 550 Total TD's - 2 Avg. per Carry - 6.0 #4 Reggie Bush Yards - 330 Total TD's - 7 Avg. per Carry - 6.5 Wide Receivers: #1 Braylon Edwards Yards - 500 Total TD's - 5 Avg. Per Catch - 15.6 NOTE: RB JJ Arrington is averaging 11.2 yards a carry, if he continues that pace he is on the list. There is a huge gap IMO from the #1 WR to the #2 WR (Clayton) so I just listed Edwards. #1 Kyle Orton #2 Matt Leinart #3 Braylon Edwards #4 Wali Lundy #5 Cedric Benson #6 Jason White #7 Darren Sproles #8 Reggie Bush Edited September 26, 2004 by Kansas State 2000
Dragon
Nice list. How about overall, as opposed to by postion?
Sgt. Ryan
Mark Clayton has to be on that list.
Kansas State 2000
Mark Clayton has to be on that list. 436320 He is the next WR I was talking about but at this time Edwards is clear up #1. That may not be true in a few weeks when I update the list.

Dragon
#1 Kyle Orton#2 Matt Leinart #3 Braylon Edwards #4 Wali Lundy #5 Cedric Benson #6 Jason White #7 Darren Sproles #8 Reggie Bush It is early, I'd expect Benson, White & Sproles to move up while Orton, Edwards & Lundy will move down. 436338 Again, nice list. I would be shocked if White wins it this year, unless his stats are so far above any other QB. I think his performance in the last two games of last year will not sit well with the voters. I think it will come down to Sproles, Benson, Leinart (not necessarily in that order). But it also seems that every year a "darkhorse" emerges. I'm anxious to see if there's one this year. They have nothing to be excited about.
