Andrew Walter about to set record...

Looks like Andrew Walter, QB for ASU Sun Devils is about to match and beat John Elway's record for the most career TD passes.

John Elway currently has the record at 77, but after today's strong performance by Walters, he is at 76. Looks like next week at Cal, Walter should at least tie and probably break that record.

I know ASU got smoked last week by USC, but Walter has looked really good and I think he should be a contender for the Heisman. I mean he probably won't and might not be the top candidate, but I think he is worthy of a runner up spot, especially after he beats Elway's record next week.

What are your thoughts?

And let me also add that ASU is also trying to break another record this year. Anyone know what that is? I believe there are two teams that are tied for the record right now and I think they are both from Ohio.

His team isn't good enough - they'll lose another 1 or 2 games in the Pac10 because of that porous D, and it will hurt his chances. Top 10 guy maybe, but probably not invited to NYC for the big show.

And records aside, he's far from being the next Elway - don't get too far ahead of yourself...
