If we didnt get hit with the injury bug/locust plague we might be better than we are right now. Overall - with losses and a very young team - I am satisfied. So Far so good and 1000000000000X better than the Dublows days. God I hated that guy. Fran was a good coach at Bama. Torbush kind of had some brain farts with his defensive schemes but they never lasted more than a couple of quarters. Fran did open up the offense though and the guy loves the OPTION! I was so psyched to see Tyler Watts ( about the only thing that he did well) run the option. I am sure that part of AM's success has come from McNeal running the option as well. The only issue I had with TCHAD was how he departed. Most Bama Fans knew that the guy was waiting for either Slocum or Brown to be fired so he could take the job. He played it to the alums that he was not going anywhere and wanting to sign a big time contract here - and then WHAM he was gone. That was when he received the death threats and those people put his daughter's email address and cell phone number online. Alabama is an area which suffers from privincialism, enthnocentrism, and dilusions of grandeur worse than anywhere I have ever seen, even Arkansas.
