Kansas State 2000
These rankings are very cool to see right now but there's alot of commitments to come that will affect the totals. Usually a team will move up, down, up, down for awhile. Looking at visits and possibles for K-State I'd predict the finish around 18. FSU generally has top 5 -10 finishes when it's all said and done every year.
Kansas State 2000
I always thought it showed a better view of the class by ranking them by their average stars. Some schools do not need as many players in a class as others. Virginia has 24 in their class making them #1 in total points but they only rank 20th (2.79) in average stars. Below is a more accurate ranking list IMO. Note – If you have one 3-Star it’s not fair to rank a team ahead of a team with an average of 2.99 when that team has 7 or more players. Each team listed had to have a listing of at least seven recruits. School Stars 1 Ohio State 3.82 2 LSU 3.673 Texas 3.56 4 Southern Cal 3.50 5 Nebraska 3.386 Michigan 3.25 7 UCLA 3.14 8 Tennessee 3.13 9 Oklahoma 3.0710 Kansas State 3.00 - Auburn 3.00- Stanford 3.00 13 Iowa 2.90 14 Notre Dame 2.89- Texas A&M 2.8916 Arizona 2.86- Florida 2.8618 Maryland 2.83 19 Georgia 2.80 20 Virginia 2.79 21 Wisconsin 2.7822 Pittsburgh 2.75- Texas Tech 2.7524 Michigan State 2.71 25 Illinois 2.
Sgt. Ryan
Talent is important, but when you have coaching that turns less talented players into All Americans like Stoops has on his resume, all we need is 1 top recruit each yr, ala Adrian Peterson. Didn't they have a top 5 class last year?

Kansas State 2000
Oklahoma has been in the top 8 the last four years. Texas has beat Oklahoma in the rankings most years but on the field it's not the case as of late. K-State by example had their best year in awhile back in 2002. #14 Kansas State Commits -31 5-Star - 2 4-Star - 4 3-Star - 20 Avg. - 3.10 Points - 1,929 They followed that up with a #18 last year and will probably finish in the same general area this year. Ziachild007
I am just glad to see Tech in the top 20, especially with some od the bigger names being on the defensive side of the ball.

Phat1
That #5 ranking will give Callahan at least 3 years at Nebraska. That was why Solich was canned. Good to see the Huskers finally in the top 10. Hopefully it stays that way.

Then why do the Huskers suck so bad? Callahan has 2 years tops, unless he gets into a major bowl by next year....
Phat1
Really? Then why do the Huskers suck so bad? Callahan has 2 years tops, unless he gets into a major bowl by next year.... Why do they suck? Let's see, they are trying to run the WCO with players that were recruited to run an option style offense. It's not going to work very well. The last 3 years the recruiting class has been ranked 40th, 42nd, and 27th. This was why Solich was fired, it had nothing to do with his record. The defense can't tackle. Plain and simple. Callahan will get 3 years minimum, not counting this year. The person that is on the hot seat is the A.D. Pederson. He will be fired within 2 years if there isn't any improvement.
