theeohiostate
AP is getting way to much pub.........sure he's good. But is he even the best freshman RB in the country? .....and people are talking Heisman How 'bout Mike Hart Fresh RB from Michigan? Plays a MUCH tougher schedule, only got 8 touches the first two games of the season and his stats are as good as Peterson, PLUS he is more elusive and versatile. Hart 1157 rush yards 175 rec. yards total yards from scrimmage 1332 Peterson 1268 rush yds 6 rec. yards total yards from scrimmage 1274 Had Hart been given the opportunity the first two games of the year like Peterson was .........Hart would have at least 300 more yards than Peterson. Hart has had 3 straight 200 yard games........and is playing against some of the best D's in the nation in the Big 10, much different than what Peterson faces. Seems like the media likes to hype up anyone without even looking at the facts, what a shame..........same goes for the polls. Hype up teams that don't play great schedules and are nothing but flops in the bowl games.
spain
More Peterson bashing huh? Well, I have to agree. He could only roll up what? 250 yards rushing on the road against Oklahoma State? What a loser. No way this no talent ass clown who only averages about 6 ypc could start for a real school like Ohio State. Of course, with all the talent the Buckeyes have this year, thy dont need the leading rusher in that weak Big 12 conference. Oh wait, OSU sucks this year. Nevermind.. Sgt. Ryan
The Big 10 is pathetic. Purdue will nto be unranked, after losing 3 straight to Athena competition in the Big 10. Illinois is a laughing stock program, and Michigan St has what the 100 th rank D in the country. Do you even look at stats Cher. Last week it was the Ga RB was the best freshamn. Now its this Michigan kid after rolling up huge yds on unraked opponents. Hart ran 5 times for 17 yds vs Notre Dame Ranked Iowa held him under 100 on 26 carries Even Indiana held him to 79 yds on 20 carries So when this kid gets to the gravey part of his schedule, vs unranked Mich St, unranked Purdue and unranked Illinois he racks up huge yds. Peterson has cracked 100 in every single game, Peterson has rushed for 230 and 249 on 2 of the best Rush Defenses in the country in what were rivalry games for OU, and both teams were ranked unlike unranked Mich St, who would lose to Baylor in the Big 12. When OU runs all over USC, if they survive and make it to the Championship game, he will make some excuse then as well. Face it pal, OS Who sux ass, and will for the next 5 yrs. The Big 10 has what 1 legit team this yr, that isnt beign forced into triple OT by an unraked team, and losing to another unranked team in Notre Dame. Michigan showed hos good it was struggling with those unranked teams. When OU plays teams like Baylor Peterson will be out of the game in the 2nd half, not trailing like Michigan did to the worst teams in the Big 10 Illinois and Mich St. Edited October 31, 2004 by Sgt. theeohiostate
If PETERSON stays healthy he may put up some numbers like Sarge's buddy Griffin Maybe a couple NFL starts.......then bye bye, he may even find a tree-house in the rain forest with Ricky, his 'ol Lil12 compadre and decide just to chill Anyways, with 3 of the top 4 rushers coming from the LIL 12 and the other from La Tech, it speaks volumes on how easy it would be to gain yards in that conference, now doesn't it Clarett may have gained over 3000 all-purpose yards over there, if he wants an easy road to the Heisman why not play in a conference that frowns upon D? Just look what happened when my BUCKS played that Big 12 Champ last year (with the GREAT D ) KSU, OSU looked like they had an offense ........for once. The Big 10 D's make offenses look bad, the LIL 12 makes OSU's offense look like USC. I would be willing to bet that some REALLY good O's like USC, Purdue or Georgia could average 50-60 points in the LIL 12. GOOD LUCK BIG 12 HOMERS Here's to another GREEAAAAT bowl season 1-6 ...........MAYBE
spain
Do you really want to remind folks that Maurice Clarrett went to Overated State University? The guy was a pos so I guess he fit in well there..
