LiL10(s)ArEaJoKe
Hate to say this fellow OU fans but now Cedric is a member of the 5000 yd club. 9 people have achieved this, 6 of them have won the heisman. With this performance tonight Benson has to be a serious contender!!!! AP might have to wait till next year.

Sgt. Ryan
Benson is a stud no doubt, but White had 5 TDs as well and led the Sooners back time after time when the D was faltering early on. I seriously think he has to be the frontrunner now.
Perchoutofwater
Benson is the man, but I'm almost as biased as Sgt. Ryan, just the other way.
theeohiostate
When I consider what I think is a Heisman quality player, I look at this yr, and I look at how this player did in his teams big games. Did he help his team win, did you underperform, did he lose the game. Benson was about half his averrage vs OU and couldnt even get his team on the scoreboard. Peterson and White should both have hold a tiebreaker over him if its close. Leinhart I had #3 behind the 2 Sooners but his performance tonight may actually drop him to #4 behind Benson and his huge performance. My top 5 as of right now 1. Jason White 2 Adrian Peterson 3 Cedric Benson 4 Matt Leinhart 5 Braylon Edwards I dont think the freshman sensation will win it, though he is definately worthy. But if it comes down to White, Leinhart and Benson for the award, White clearly ranks ahead of those 2. If I were White Id vote for myself as alot of voters wont touch Peterson. Dont waste your vote on him, as you may need it for yourself as some see Peterson and White taking votes from each other. Bush is not, and should not be a factor any longer to Leinhart. Sure he had a punt return for a TD. but on offense he doesnt have a defined position. L White is the tailback, Bush is a 3rd down scat back, who lines up at WR on most plays. Id take Mark clayton with the ball in his hands over Bush, and Clayton is not a candidate even though he is clutch at the WR position and is the backup PR who ran one back last week in place of injured NCAA record holder for PR for TD, A Perkins place. 539890[/snapback] Does anyone else like reading this stuff There are about 500 NCAA players that would be Heisman eligible...............if they played in the BIG 12.
