Wooster Fighting Scots. Small school in the middle of Ohio, surrounded by Amish buggy land. This kid is awesome. They're 10-0 heading into the playoffs. Oh yeah, and it's my alma mater. :D

His brother is lighting it up at Hoban in Akron, Ohio, but signed a letter with Northwestern :D

#7 Tony Sutton

Senior

Running Back

5'11" 200

Akron, Ohio

Archbishop Hoban

In just two short seasons, Tony Sutton has established himself as the top running back in Division III and possibly the best back in North Coast Athletic Conference history.

After his initial season with Wooster in 2002 when he was named the NCAC Newcomer of the Year and an All-American after leading the conference in rushing (1,418 yards), rushing touchdowns (15) and all-purpose yards (175.3 ypg), Sutton took his game to another level in 2003.

Despite missing an entire game and one half of another because of an injury, Sutton captured the triple-crown for running backs — leading not only Division III but all NCAA Divisions in rushing (217.2 ypg), scoring (20.7 ppg/31 touchdowns) and all-purpose yards (244.8 ypg).

Sutton set five NCAC single-season records in 2003, including most rushing yards (1,955) and touchdowns (31). He also broke his own conference record for rushing yards in one game with 338 against Case Western Reserve (9/27/03).

Among Sutton's many honors for the 2003 season included being named the Div. III North Region and NCAC Offensive Player of the Year, and a first-team All-American selection by four different organizations. He was also one of five finalists for the Melberger Award for Div. III's top player.
