Great idea for a Huddle upgrade next year!

I was just in DMD's Game Predictions & Projected Stats page and came up with a "BRILLIANT" idea. He could add links to every player that shows their game by game stats/game logs. That would save me the trouble of flipping back and forth from espn's player stats. Just an idea!!

Maybe you should work on your defensive projections first! Get those right and move on to something new!  :D

I hear that! Maybe not projections per say, but a start bench list would be nice. S1, S2, U, X, B would be helpful. Def is not big as per huddle scoring, but it is big in my scoring system (sack/3pts, TO/5pts, SF/5pts, TD/6pts, Pts All. bonus). After all, defense is half the game.

I had suggested launching an on-line radio station here at the Huddle that you could listen to via the internet. Link that up with the message boards, sprinkle in some guests, a few call-in questions, and we'd have a whole new way to kill time! And don't even get me started on the potential for a weekend show. Imagine a Sunday radio station that covered all the games in real-time from a fantasy perspective. Game time decisions. Last minute line up questions. Veritable "high-light" coverage of the games as they are happening. It'd be pretty groovy.

And that's just the stuff I can think of off the top of my head. I'm sure there is way cooler stuff that could be mixed in.

What suggestions do you have about the defensive projections.

To try and peg tackles, sacks, assists, etc.  is impossible, and no other site that Ive seen does that.

FBGS sends out a weekly newsletter each Tursday afternoon with  a list of 1-50 per position.  Is this what you would rather have.

There have been some other people that have itemized a list of suggestions.

My comment was merely a tongue-in-cheek reference to a Huddler complaining about how DMD's pre-season D/ST rankings were so bad.

I've gone on record as saying that the mock draft that was done here before the season started was more than enough for me. I start one DL, one LB, and one DB and drafted Abraham/Kerney, A. Davis/L. Briggs, A. Archuleta/T. Polamalu and have not made one defensive waiver move all year.

Personally, I think your weekly articles are solid enough, but you can never give the masses enough--people will always look for more.

If you created a top 30 list based on match-ups each week, it might satisfy some of the people's needs who need down and dirty information in a quick manner.

However, as you stated, to attempt actual projections for tackles, etc. would be an excercise in futility IMO.

Perhaps an upside report would be worth an attempt. Identifying two or three guys (lesser known names) per position, based on a match-up for the week. In this format, your opinion could go a long way for a member if they find out their guy is hurt and won't play. They can rely on your speculation and make the pick up based on the report.

Another thing that would be helpful on a weekly basis would be the same as DMD does for the offensive stats. Not only a "who's hot" write up, but allowing members to quickly click through the stats for each player for the season, the last three weeks, and the last week. Having that information available on this site could prevent people from seeking that information from NFL.com or a competing site.

In order for any of these stats to be on the site, a Perfect Huddle Scoring system for IDP would need to be developed.

Sounds like we need a focus group.
