From the KC Star this morning: Holmes is out The Kansas City Star Running back Priest Holmes (knee) and linebacker Monty Beisel (calf) will not play Monday night against the Patriots, according to coach Dick Vermeil. Holmes will miss his second straight game and could miss more, depending on how quickly his sprained MCL recovers. Holmes' injury has been serious enough to keep him off the practice field for two straight weeks. “We're not going to jeopardize him unless he's absolutely ready to play,” said Chiefs president/general manager Carl Peterson. “Right now, it's a week-to-week situation.” Beisel aggravated a calf injury he originally suffered earlier in the season during the first half at New Orleans and will be replaced at weak-side linebacker by Quinton Caver. — Ivan Carter/The Star And for those who need a link, go look for it yourself you lazy wankers.
