Leinart wins the Heisman over White because the whole country feels sorry for USC for being left out a yr ago, when the best possible scenerio for the Trojans actually happened. Had their been a playoff, BCS #1 OU would have smoked BCS #4 Michigan. BCS #2 LSU would have beaten BCS #3 USC, resulting in LSU and OU playing for the title. Which is in fact, what happened. Instead, the 2 best teams play, LSU and OU, while USC spanks a ***ty Michigan team in tehir backyard in the Rose Bowl, and steals half a title they didnt deserve, regardless of who won between OU or LSU. Because of that so called travesty, which would have cost USC any title, if they played either OU or LSU in the title game a yr ago, Leinart will win the Heisman, and USC will get a free pass to the Orange Bowl. But after OU destroys USC, the real travesty will have already happened. Auburn which is more deserving than USC, woudl ahve already been left out of the NC game, Leinart would have already stole a Heisman he didnt deserve, and then we would have all found out, last yr was no travesty after all, but because so many felt sorry for USC, the 2004 season was the travesty for Auburn and Jason White.

Now for the facts, had there been a playoff system OU would have been toppled by Michigan and left a poor stain on the BCS, by having the true National Championship game LSU/USC a precurser to the main event.

USC vs Oklahoma

31 28

I see it being close but USC just has to much offensive weapons. Reggie Bush is just a freak of friggin nature and Leinhart has the smarts. Oklahoma has Peterson White, and a better defense...however USC has a good enough defense to win this one in a close high scoring game. This one will be pretty fun to watch consider OU has really gotten it together since The Texas A&M and OSU game.

USC National Champs this year but not by much.

I really don't care which wins it at this point just hope it's a entertaining game.

And now for something completely different...All 3 of the undefeated teams deserve a shot at the NC game. I am not sure why Sarge talks so much about last year's NC so much, but he clearly has developed an idiotic conspiracy theory that somehow pushes Leinart into the Heisman and an undeserving USC into the Orange bowl because people feel sorry for USC. Well, they are 12-0 and have more quality wins than OU and OU lost last year to LSU. If only there was a playoff system...

The Heisman should go to White this year. He clearly has the numbers and deserves it. At this point, OU should be favored in the Orange Bowl vs either USC or Auburn. I am sure we will all have to endure Sarge's soap opera like threads until 5 minutes prior to kickoff of the NC game. I look forward to seeing the excuses IF OU loses this year's NC game. :D

They will say it no matter who wins the game if Auburn beats Virginia Tech. A 4 team playoff last year means that USC meets Michigan for the national championship under your theory sarge, cuz Oklahoma woulda got beat by Michigan last year. Look what Kansas State did to Oklahoma. If LSU had any offense, they woulda beat Oklahoma by 20+. They didn't and you had a close game according to the score. Everyone but YOU knows that LSU dominated that game, and know *** well that if LSU had the kind of offensive weapons USC had, they woulda killed your sorry a$$es. Kansas State, the team that you didn't even deserve to share the same field with, got beat by the Big 10's 2nd place Team Ohio State. Oklahoma was lucky to be there. They didn't take care of business. Period. End of discusision.

That all being said, they DID take care of business this year, and do deserve a shot. They got the shot, now it's time to put up or shut up for you oklahoma fans, cuz USC is BY FAR... B Y F A R! The best team you've faced all year long.

Don't know about a nightmare, but I certainly agree with you (for once) that Oklahoma is the best team USC has seen all year, as Cal i felt was overrated all year long, and are lucky they don't have to face Michigan in the Rose Bowl. Now Texas will get stomped, like every other Big 12 team does when they face a Big Ten team. :D
