Monsters Of The Midway
From the box score of the Big 12 Championship game: Colorado offensive stats Total Yards: 46 yards on 47 plays Rushing Yards: -4.0 Passing Yards: 50 Total Points: 3 Touchdowns: 0 First Downs: 3 Third Down Conversions: 0 for 12 Fourth Down Conversions: 0 for 1 Punts: 9 I challenge you to show me a more impressive defensive showing in all of 2004. No excuses. I'm going to let you pick any team from any conference during any game. Your "The Big 12 just sucks" blabber doesn't work here. I'm giving you any game played this year, regardless of the match-up. You've claimed the Big 12 doesn't have any defense...well, it's time you put your money where your mouth is and find me some statistical evidence showing today's performance by the Sooners defense isn't the most impressive single game in 2004. NO 3rd or 4th down conversions allowed. Just 3 first downs given up all day (and one was from a penalty). Less than 1 yard per play average allowed. USC vs. Washington...nope USC vs. Colorado State...nope Auburn vs. Louisiana Monroe...nope Auburn vs. The Citadel...nope I fully understand that your response will have abolutely no validity and it will just be full of a bunch of laughing smileys, useless spaces, and a bunch of periods followed by some comment that you've overused 500 times But, try doing some research for a change and prove me wrong. It's a challenge. Edited December 5, 2004 by Monsters Of The Midway
theeohiostate
The stat line only proves what i've been saying ( and been proven RIGHT!!!) for two years.........the Big 12 is WEAK!! What more do you want to hear? When , an undeserving, over rated, OU team gets pounced by USC, the country will be saying the same thing as they did last year. "THEY GOT IT WRONG AGAIN!!!" When 8 out of every 10 games they play is against divII type competiton it's difficult for that team not to have several Heisman canidates and look good. The problem is with the schedule they had, they were underachievers , there are countless teams in the country that would have looked as good, if not better over the last three games of OU's schedule, Nebraska, Baylor and Colorado.....GIMMIE A BREAK!!! I just think it sad the Auburn may have to sit on the sideline while OU is getting spanked by USC, and America will be asking what if...............when will they get it right? Again, proving my point that you are full of smoke and can back absolutely nothing up.
Sgt. Ryan
When OU rolls USC, he will say Auburn is the best team. He is a complete joke, and is full of hot air. Just like I told him last night, it was about the top 3 teams and their fans, not some inbred Big 10 fan who doesnt have a team ranked in the top 10, and their Champion backed into the Rose Bowl and will get torched by whoever they play Cal ro Texas. The Big 12 has 2 teams in the top 5, yet he says the conference sucks. They have 3 other teams in the top 31, which is amazing. The SOS of OU is higher than any team in the top 10. Facts dont shut this idiot up, its just hot air after excuse, after BS with him.
detlef
If there's anything worse than a homer blind to reason, it's a hater blind to reason. I've been rather outspoken about the poor logic often used by Sgt. and the rest of the crew to inflate their case for OU. I stand by that. This is not a knock on OU, mind you, I just find their arguments to often be conveniently missing validity. For the record, I basically don't like OU, but it's very hard not to respect them. Also, I typically give a shred of slack to homers talking about their own team, 'cause it's hard to knock the loyalty. Now, theohiostate, on the other hand, takes it an entirely different level. He's left the sinking, stinking ship that is his Buckeyes eons ago and devoted himself to bashing OU at every turn. It's absolutley pathetic. Grow a freaking sack you little putz. Dare I bring this up? The other day, someone solicited Ryan's opinion on whether he should lay the 20 something that OU was giving. Like clockwork, here you come. "Take the 20! Take the 20! CU is actually coming on and they're gonna smack OU!" When I called you on your rather obvious take, you didn't back off. "Lay the money if you want to lose..." blah, blah. Now OU steps up and beats them about as badly as anyone could beat anyone. You're response? "CU sucks! Of course OU's gonna win..." Trust me, siding with OU fans makes me feel downright queesy, but a challenge was made and you chickened out. The dude who made the challenge even directly challenged you not to pull your usual stunts and you did exactly that. Of course, nobody who's spent 30 seconds here is at all shocked or disappointed with your reply, but god it must suck to be such a pathetic soul. Monsters Of The Midway
Why is everything so funny to you. Watching OU win a Championship, and Texas trashing Michigan. I bet you wont be laughing then. This couldnt have turned out any better for the Big 12. The OU wins it all, the Texas whips the best the Big 10 has to offer. Iowa is going to lose as well. What a yr. 594531 ..... I'll ................2nd that! .....

Yes, i'll be laughing, will you? Of course not!! Your the Huddlers biggest whiner and i'd expect you to be making excuses.........AGAIN!! Monsters Of The Midway
Take the challenge Monsters gave you, or better yet, you probably did and wont admit there isnt a more dominant performance defensively this yr, 594760 I'm still waiting for theohiostate to come up with a more dominating performance. He's got 117 teams to chose from and he can't come up with 1. Looks like I get to prove his ignorance yet again. Man, this is getting old. This perticular team has the 5th leading RB in the country, they are overall the 2nd best run team in the nation, 2nd only to Rice. They average 302.4 yds per game on the ground, average 163.9 yards passing per game (466.3 total per game), have the #3 player in scoring in the nation, and post a 10-1 record so far. Well the 10-1 gave it away for ya!!!!! Yep OU shut out Tex-ass!!!!! They held Benson to 85 yds on 23 carries and held the passing yardage under 90. Around 200 total yards is a far cry from 50 but look at the difference in talent between CU&UT. OU 12 / UT 0 Pretty impressive to me!!!!! Just curious has OSU ever shut out their biggest Rival Michigan?????
GWPFFL BrianW
I'll simply say, do it vs USC, and then we'll talk. At least you didn't back into teh title game this year. Congrats on the conference championship.
