For the past couple of years the Big Ten has been looking to add a 12th school ( loco ) into it's conference.

Who do you guys think would be a good fit?

Notre Dame already said no(but who cares,I don't think they still offer football at that school anyway lol history is just that, history).

I heard talk that West Virgina would like out of the Big East to join.

How about Marshall?

Marshall wouldn't be a bad fit, actually - they have the Midwestern locale (sorta - what region IS WVa in, anyway?) and a solid program, even with the lack of press they get.

Marshall give the Big Ten an up-and-coming, exciting program, and the Big Ten gives Marshall legitimacy that they'll never get in the MAC (which is a solid conference, don't get me wrong -but it ain't the upper echelon).

They might get kicked around for a year or two, but I think "Marshall" adding "Big Ten Conference" to its recruiting pitch would be great for the school.

Who needs the Crazy irish any way! I wouldn't mind seeing another east coast team in the big ten.. Maybe even Pitt. The Pitt Penn state rivalry was always a good one! Somthing to get my Boilers on this side of the world!!! West Virginia wouldn't be bad.

Good luck this season! Go Boilers!

Illinois State or Northern Illinois would be good considerations.

Whatever the school it should be from the Midwest because that is the spirit of the Big Ten.

PSU was not a good choice. It took away from the midwestern uniqueness of the conference.

PSU joining the Big Ten would be like Syracuse joining the SEC.

Pitt would be cool if they would switch from the ACC to the Big 10 as they'd provide a nice rivalry for Penn State in conference. Others might be Iowa State, Missouri, Cincinnati, Louisville, & Memphis. Marshall would be great. Ball State maybe. A lot of those MAC teams have been underrated for seemingly decades. :D
