Thunder Chicken
Oregon St Temple Thu., 7:00 The Beavers follow up the 49-10 drubbing of E. Kentucky with another walk in the park. OSU 38-13 EK Stanford BC Sat., 3:30 Stanford returns seven starters on offense from last year and are looking to improve last years 9-3 mark. It will be tough going to break through the ceiling in the Pac this year with the likes of Oregon, UW,and the Cougars already firmly planted in the polls. Stanford starts 2002 like 2001 with a win over BC S 28 - 24 BC San Jose St Washington (14) Sat., 3:30 The Huskies celebrate coach Rick Neuheisel's 6 year contract extension with a win. San Jose State has never won in Seattle or ever against the Huskies. Despite an impressive win over Arkansas state last week the trend will continue. UW 45 - SJS 20 Fresno St Oregon (13) Sat., 3:30 The Ducks are out to prove that O. Smith is worthy of his Heisman talk and J. Fife will do great things now that J Harrington is a Lion. O 35 - 21 F S Idaho Wash St (12) Sat., 5:00 The cougs weren't that impressive last week barely getting 100 yds on the ground and J Gesser didn't do anything to bring himself up from the second tier of heisman hopefuls. That said the Cougs should leave Moscow witha win on Sat. Don't underestimate the Vandals, they have won this contest twice in the last three years. and if WSU is looking to intently towards the Buckeyes on Sep 14th the might be taken for a ride. WSU 38 - 17 UI New Mexico St California Sat., 6:30 Last years worst offense in the PAC-10 won in its first outing, against Baylor. The Offense already looks better than last year and the bears should be 2-0 at the close of the week. Cal 24 - 21 NMS C Florida Arizona St Sat., 10:00 Arizona State broke a five game win streak with a win over E. Washington last week. The Sun Devils D kept Easterns Offense off the board the entire game. Easterns only points in the game coming off a safety. Watch ASU use that D to hold and outscore Central Florida. ASU 27 - 10 C F Colo St (20) UCLA Sat., 10:15 The Rams prove it wasn't all show against the Buffs last week. Van Pelt and CSU keep rolling right over the Bruins. The Rams have the benefit of two games already under their belt. This will bring them to 3-0 and with any equitty into the top 10. Rams win 25 -

Kansas State 2000
I agree for the most part ... I think Stanford will win and I doubt that New Mexico State gets that close in the game.
