Shakenbake
You had a great call last week that I took (KState), and I took Colorado, and Maryland as well, and had a great week....any more picks?
zeeman
Do you think I can predict a blowout every week? If I could I'd live in Vegas for the football season. But what the heck, here goes another stab at it. Staying within the Big 12, since that is the conference I follow the closest. It is hard to believe that Texas Tech can win the Big 12 South with a win over Oklahoma. Statistically, this game doesn't stand out. I have watched both teams a few times and Texas Tech is overmatched at every position except at QB. Last week T.Tech vs Texas, Tech was overmatched at every position except QB (The Texas Longhorns are the most underacheiving team in CFB). Kingsbury is great and may keep T.Tech close, but I got a feeling that Texas Tech may have blew their wad against Texas at home and may have little left to travel to OK and cover. I am not real thrilled with OKlahoma's offense, but the Red Raider Defense couldn't catch a cold, so OK will be able to put up points. The question is can Oklahoma stop Kingsbury and T.Tech? My answer is yes. Texas Tech has lit up a few good defenses in Texas and Texas A&M, and the have struggled against average defenses such as Colorado and Iowa St. The Sooners seem to be able to contain a drop back passing attack as they did against Texas, while they have had trouble with the mobile QB's like Mizz Brad Smith and the new Aggie QB. The Sooners are at home and seem to have a good defensive game plan against one dimensional teams. Undefeated teams generally struggle the following week after a big loss, but Oklahoma got over their Aggie hangover by playing Baylor and should come ready to play. T.Tech just came off a huge emotional win and may have little left in the tank. Oklahoma 45 Texas Tech 17. I am also riding Kansas St one more week. Gotem at -13, but I'd be hesitant to playem at over 14. Missouri's QB Smith is good and may keep it within 14. I like riding teams that are hot, but sooner or later they cool off. I had been riding Boise ST for much of the season and last week they couldn't cover for the first time since the beginning of the season --------------------- Disclaimer I am not a professional handicapper.
