T-Man
Grits and Shins: Why would this year be any different than any other year ... the national champion will be the most popular team ... you know, the one that gets the most votes That is why I can't believe that nobody has mentioned Notre Dame yet? brow
THE VICTORS
THE SUGAR top 5 1)Oklahoma - White stays off ir i see them getting to the big dance, but is Texas due? 2)Auburn - upper classmen along the d front 7 will dominate, early test with USC but the Tigers will be taking the walk down Donahue for this game where most opponents try to avoid at all cost! 3)Michigan - Most experts will tell you that your teams success hinges on the play of your o-line. Look no farther than the boys from A2. They will meet OSU in the Big House. 4)Miami - 2 words "Brock Berlin". They go as far as Brock goes. They get FSU, TENN, and UF on what looks to be down years. 5)Texas - When you get the top recruiting class year in and year out you have the horses to get to the big game. Or do the Sooners just have there number. quick comment on the bowl/playoff issue. Most schools and coaches are against implementing a playoff system. With that said the direction of conference mergers to "super conferences" they are one step closer to having a playoff system. This puts pressure on other top conferences to keep pace with the ACC. If it comes down to 3 or 4 "super conferences" with 15 to 20 teams each; this could be heading in the direction of having 4 conference winners playing it out on the field the way it should be done. lets hope.
