I remember posting on here recently that the only problem with USC (especially the D) would be complacency - HATE IT when I'm right sometimes... Oh well, it just reset my internal expectations back to where they were at in the pre-season: we can do well and get to a decent bowl game, but it will be tough to duplicate last year's 11-2 finish without Palmer, Fargas and Polamalu. Cal is a much improved football team and Tedford knew what is would take to stop SC. If Cal played you in Nov they would roast you. KSU is right and they beat them soundly. Problem with the PacTen is (and I'm a hugh fan) as a whole their lack of fire/heart when needed most. Top to bottom this conference has the talent to be the best, but the weather, locale, # of hot coeds etc. etc. help these teams underachieve.
