theeohiostate
Espn has already released Corso's and Herbstreits top five Herb 1. USC 2. OSU 3 Texas 4. Va Tech 5. Louisville Corso 1. USC 2. OSU 3. Texas 4. OU 5. Michigan Looks like both see OSU beating Texas early next season, then have Texas running the table in the Big 12 . That would be fine with me Corso's picks if they held would make for quite some conversation come next bowl season
Phat1
For some reason I think Louiville winds up higher than 5th at the end of next year.
theeohiostate
For some reason I think Louiville winds up higher than 5th at the end of next year. 643978[/snapback] They will be playing in the newly formed Big East which will lack SOS and IMO would do well to break the top 5. GWPFFL BrianW
Louisville better find a defense to compete with the big boys.
Perchoutofwater
While I'd love for Texas to finish in the top 5 next year, it is not going to happen, unless their young receivers mature much faster than I think that they will be able to. Texas' running game next year will not be near as good as it was last year. Young's rushing yardage was helped this year by people having to respect Benson. Don't get me wrong, Young will have a good year, and will put up considerably more passing yard next year than he did this year, he will not have near as many rushing yards next year. BS Miscreant
That's ridiculous! First of all, it's not preseason, it's postseason. We don't even know who's going into the draft yet. A guy here, a guy there and you have a completely different landscape in college football. Let's not get crazy.
Coffeeman
I agree - all pre-season polls (esp. in friggin January!) are almost useless, and all polls really should be banned until about mid-October after everyone has played a few meaningful games. The only reason I can think of for their existence, besides the media trying to make themselves feel relevant 8 months before the season, is maybe for recruiting. I mean, someone must help perpetuate it, and if the all-powerful commissioners really wanted to, they could try to put a stop to it.... GWPFFL BrianW
I like Florida next year as well. I think if Chris Leak can get his head out of his a$$, Florida can be awfully good. I don't see them winning it all, just because the SEC is sooooooo tough, but SEC Championship definately isn't out of the cards. I dunno, for some reason, after meeting a bunch of Gator fans in Tampa last year, i have actually become somewhat of a Gator fan, met a lot of nice fans down there.
