Section 8 Posted November 11, 2003 Share Posted November 11, 2003 As a former member of the TCU football program, I could care less who we play in the bowl games --- OU, Michigan, Texas -- bring 'em on! If we go undefeated heading into a bowl game that says more than 109 other schools will be able to. Undefeated or not, the publicity is great for the program. Imagine a stud senior in highschool that had the opportunity to start his freshman year or redshirt and then start for TCU or go to OU and maybe start playing his Junior year. TCU going undefeated is a reputable thing but it certanly is equal to a lot of the one loss teams in real conferences. If you play in the big ten, you are going to have one loss cause you play 8 teams that can compete with anyone in the country. The real reason no one from the small conferences have made it is becuase they always foul it up before the end of the season. So Don't lose and stand up for the little guys. I think your team could compete, but I just dont think they would win agains the top 8 teams in the country. KevinL Posted November 18, 2003 Share Posted November 18, 2003 TCU's schedule is already 90th for 3.6 points. I think there's only about 120 Div 1a schools. So at most they will only add about 1 point to their BSC score. Michigan is within 1, if Michigan beats OSU they will pass TCU regardless.
