SaintsFanUnfortunately
It's a no-brainer. But, oh yeah, that's right, the knuckle-heads behind the BCS don't have a brain between them. If you don't win your conference championship OU, you should not be allowed to play for the national title. Especially after getting whooped so late in the year. If I was voting in the polls, I would drop OU to fourth behind Michigan too after that whooping, 2 losses or not. Michigan took care of business late in the year against a quality opponent in Ohio State. OU did not.

PatrickL
ou should be nowhere near the ncaa title game after that ass beating! no conf title should mean no ncaa title game. we saw it w/ neb in 01 and they got friggin destroyed! USC and LSU have earned it and anything else will be a crime!
Sgt. Ryan
OU will be there, so get used to it. What OU did all yr wont be overlooked and when they win the Sugar Bowl, they will be Champs, again. If you have a gripe, win out and you will be an automatic. IF you think OU was exposed, then they should be an easy victim in the Sugar Bowl, but when they win that game, there will be no doubt whos the best team in the country. Which is what matters most to Sooner Nation. Championships.

USC and LSU have earned it and anything else will be a crime! Not to kick Ryan when he is down, but I have to agree. Anyone who doesn't win their conference, can't be the best in the nation, they aren't even the best in their conference. Should the sooners have won? Probably. But that is why they play the game. They didn;t win. When it came time to lock up thier trip to NO, they folded like a tent. It's not about potential or the quality of what they did all season. Its about wins and losses, and how you won or in this case lost. It will go further to say how much crap the BCS is when the #1 team in both polls (USC) doesn't get to the game, and a non-conference winner does (Oklahoma). If Oklahoma gets there, they aren't nebraska, they will be competetive. Just a side note, Sarge, humility, which you did show here, shoudn't be turned on when you have no other choice. It certainly wasn't there when you were bashing the big ten all season. Try it all the time, and someone might believe that you are being sincere. Being spirited about your team is fine, but respect others as well. You can get your point across with out team or conference bashing. And a side note to my side note. I am not or have never been anything remotely resembling an ohio state fan. I probably dislike them as much as you do. Go Big Ten. Great game K state! nickspicks
Boilerduff. Sarge is incapable of understanding shrug your post. I've endured his smack and rants for three years! I do enjoy posting after the Sooner nation can't back-up what they spew! What idiots :P
Sgt. Ryan
Being humbled is what happened to Sooner Nation last night. I was kicked while I was down, and I could take it without a single excuse. Im not going to change my stripes. Im going to talk more smack than ever now. But unlike most OSU fans on this site, I dont need to make excuses and whine and cry. My team has shown all yr they are the best in the country. Last night they were humbled, but Im very confident that they will get their title shot, and win the Sugar Bowl handily. I wont back down from that statement after another Big 12 team beat the mighty Sooners. Ive said a million times already the Big 12 is the strongest in the land. I dont back down from that comment either. When OU beats LSU this will be proven for all to see. KSU kicked our ass, Congrats to them and they will be rewarded with a trip to the Fiesta while the #5 team in the BCS Texas will be on the outside looking in. thumbs_u

Clubfoothead
As a Michigan fan I can't wait to see USC get their asses kicked in the Rose Bowl. I've got an idea for both conferences - get a Championship game. wall_bas

We usually catch OSU for whatever reason. Good luck in the RB. It should be a good game. cool_thu

Trojanmojo
The SEC and Big 12 have a better set up for conference championship games. The Pac 10 would really have to add 2 teams to make it work best. The Big 10 would probably have to add 1 more. I don't think either conference is really into them. For one, you can't get a SOS bonus 2x so the extra bonus one gets isn't all THAT great. If OU hadn't played in one they'd be undefeated so it's a blade that cuts both ways. Getting a conference championship won't solve the problem. Getting a playoff instituted and dropping this BCS BS is the way to go even if it's just the top 4 or 8 teams. I agree that we should maybe drop the championship games and cut schedules to 11 games, then play the 4 major new years day bowls, have the 4 winners move on to play in the semis and then have a TRUE NC game after that. gman
I also think that LSU should face USC. Oklahoma lost its conference championship, even though it was against a ranked team, and should automatically be eliminated from playing in the Sugar Bowl. But the bottom line is that things will all clear up when LSU beats Oklahoma in the Sugar, and Michigan whips USC in the Rose. The title will solely be LSU's.
