Gopher Posted January 1, 2004 Share Posted January 1, 2004 Not sure what your point is, but I think any reasonable person would agree that this argument over which conference is better is ridiculous, and impossible to prove, anyway. Michigan State was pretty much dominated by Nebraska, but Texas and Missouri simply got their lunch handed to them by Washington State and Arkansas, respectively. What makes the bowl games so fun to watch, IMO, is that the outcomes are usually significantly different than what is projected, and no one conference typically dominates. I'm just hoping the BCS games are all close and entertaining, and I am fairly confident that they will be, for the most part. From what I've seen, the Big 12 is certainly not as dominant as some people claim. Not saying the Big 10 is any better, but so far I believe all of the Big 10 teams have kept themselves in games based on solid defense. (Except for my Gophers, which haven't had a defense all year.
