Caveman_Nick
As we all know, every year, the mayors of the cities of the AFC and NFC champions make a bet over the eventual Superbowl champion. And the prize is the food that is characteristic of the loser's city. Kid Cid's thread about food of NFL cities said that JAX is famous for smoked oysters and grilled kingfish. I didn't read the whole thread. Did that hold up? Or, further to my post about whether JAX is a "Superbowl caliber" city, will there just be stale Beernuts and pretzels wagered by the Jacksonville mayor? Why do I care? What can I say? I love football and food. However, I don't like smoked oysters or know what kingfish is. 679508[/snapback] The Jacksonville mayor is not part of the bet. Think about it. Czarina
What mayor is involved for the Pats? I don't think Foxboro has a mayor.
