justin
As Beer Swilling Miscreant pointed out in this post, Xavier Carter could be a name to remember. This past weekend, he verbally committed to LSU. News Article
justin
And Willie Williams, the nations top ranked LB prospect has a series of reports published in the Miami Herald about his campus visits (FSU, Auburn & Miami) and signing decision. As The Sports Guy pointed out in this article, Williams' articles are hilarious.
myhousekey
Anyone else seen the pictures of OL Herman Johnson that just committed to LSU? That guy is huge. He was the biggest baby ever born in Louisiana history...14 lbs!!! I've seen his weight listed anywhere between 350 and 400 lbs now. Some links: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/army/news/st...=Johnson_Herman http://lsu.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=262335 I wish I could find a link to the pictures someone emailed me. The guy looks like a monster compared to the other highschool players on the line.
Chavez
I heard the Wisconsin Badgers got a commitment from Marcus (?) Randle El, a name that should be familiar to Big Ten and Steeler fans.
Guest VoteQuimby
I am really curious how Willie Williams turns out. This kid seems very talented, but also seems to have a lot of baggage. I'm kind of glad he passed up on FSU for the hated ones.
Kansas State 2000
Chavez: I heard the Wisconsin Badgers got a commitment from ... They also got one of K-State's coaches (Beliema) to be their defensive coordinator.
davearm
Kansas State 2000:They also got one of K-State's coaches (Beliema) to be their defensive coordinator. I was just reading about this guy in today's paper. He sounds very promising, and apparently possesses all the attributes Alvarez was looking for. I'm very pleased they went this route instead of elevating the 50-something D-line coach that's been on our staff forever. The Badgers' staff definitely needs some new blood/enthusiasm/ideas, especially on that side of the ball.
