Once Romeo Crennel officially accepts the Browns' head coaching job -- a post he's expected to take after the Patriots play in the Super Bowl -- he is expected name Maurice Carthon, the Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator, as the Browns offensive coordinator, a Cowboys source told the Dallas Morning News.

The source told the paper the Cowboys recently gave Cleveland permission to interview Carthon, who has a year remaining on his contract.

According to the paper, as the Browns' offensive coordinator, Carthon would call the plays, a responsibility coach Bill Parcells handled himself in Dallas.

The Browns defense certainly gets an upgrade with Crennel but it will be interesting to see what Carthon does if that happens.
