URLACHERisGOD
Been doing NFL FFL for over 10 years now but, this year I've been talked into doing NCAA FFL. I don't know too much outside the Sooners, let alone outside the Big 12 so, I was wondering if you guys knew of any sites I could visit to help me out with my draft??? Our draft is in 7 days and I don't have jack. Or if some of you are really bored, you could just email me a list of the top 300 offensive players in the NCAA this year loco . Seriously, any help would be much appreciated!
Coffeeman
I don't know of any sites offhand, but I check out cbssportsline.com quite often. Dennis Dodd can be clueles sometimes, but he does at least discuss many of the names you need to know. For general strategy, I'd say "follow the leaders" - the pre-season top 25 teams' O-players are a good place to start. That is, the top teams will produce the best stats in general, (those 56-7 early season games help there,) altho you'll want to avoid teams that do most of their winning on D and special teams - Buckeyes come to mind. As most of us know, top QBs and WRs in the Pac-10 are good bets cuz they get to air it out a lot - USC and Cal are probably tops there. RBs are probably the toughest to predict - guys can pop up all over the country with good seasons, but the Heisman Watch list is a good place to start. I'd say a key is to watch the early games (if its a serious $ league, maybe invest in the NCAA TV package) and the waiver wire - get those hot hands early on, and be willing to drop and add as much as possible. Good luck..
