Vet
Anyone else notice that the kid didn't even flip the coin? He just kind of flung it and it didn't even flip over once, just landed on the ground the same way it was sitting in his hand. Tough spot to put a 10 year old kid. I suggest next year they have an adult flip the coin.
myhousekey
Yeah, I saw that as well. Coin went straight up and straight down, never turning over. Not only should they have an adult flip it but lets try and keep the coin toss to less then 300 people next time. It's getting ridiculous. LegFuJohnson
It really was a disgrace. Lots of people have money on that coin toss.
Grits and Shins
Yup ... I commented on it last night ... come on somebody show the kid how to flip the coin.
smithkt
6 people at my house watching the game. We all looked at each other and wondered if maybe they should flip it again.
Wolv
Looked like a frisbee toss.... Seems like the NFL is trying to fill its 'Nice Gesture' quota. Cmon - leave something like that to adults....
T_bone65
I won $20 on that coin toss
Jackass
That was absolutely ridiculous. have the kid hand the coin to ref but it's the frickin super bowl for god's sakes.
whomper
I won 200 on that toss and I suggest bringing that kid back next year to try again..
trrhyne
It is a coin toss not a coin flip. The only requirement is to toss it.
ABearWithFurniture
hmmm...did anybody read the story in the paper this morning about some 10 yr. old kid cashing in a $50K winning ticket on the coin toss yesterday? He correctly picked tails...
Fatman
I'm not going to bag on a kid, but shouldn't you have the dexterity at 10 to flip a coin? I know it's commemorative and somewhat oversized, but come on. Fine, I lied. Bagging on 10 year old is fun.
H8tank
I saw it, I was screaming at the tv. my chick didn't understand the big deal. I thought Brusci was gonna rip that kids throat out.
jgcoach
I won $100.00 on the flip and think the kid did a great job. Bring him back next year, just as long as I know how it will sit in the kids hand.
slimshim
What if you lie on the ground and toss it one inch with imparting any rotation? Is that acceptable? 687793 Too funny but that is practically what happenned. The kid was about 10 inches tall.
Chargerz
Yup ... I commented on it last night ... come on somebody show the kid how to flip the coin. 687706 My thoughts exactly. How hard is it to teach a kid how to flip a coin and then have him practice it a few times!! I mean...COME ON!

I saw that and was freaking cracking up!! whew....anyway, it doesn't really matter if he flipped it or not because no one knew ahead of time that he couldn't flip worth a d@mn. Ralph Furley
It's not like it didn't flip when it hit the ground. Bad toss...yes. Overreaction...yes.
WaterMan
Wasn't he 7 or 8? He's lucky his hand wasn't shaking so much that he couldn't hold on to the coin. Give him a break, Jesus.
Roadiedave
Maybe they should of flipped the kid !!!!!!!
Chief Dick
You guys are pathetic. You're bagging on a kid because of how he flipped a coin. Why don't you go pick on ugly tuna or something.
muck
Would you guys be so pissy if it would have rotated too fast? Seriously, the objective of a coin flip, is to have a 'fair' way to determine who gets the ball first...the main variables are wind speed, total distance the coin travels (from hand, to apex, to ground), the weight of the coin, and the rotation speed of the coin... And, given the very nature of a variable, the actual value can range from "zero" to "a whole bunch"... And, in this case, the variable for "coin rotations per second" equalled zero. What's the big deal?
Jrick35
This thread is quite possibly the most ludicrous I have ever seen on a Huddle.com forum. Did the coin flip? I have no idea. I didn't even watch the coin TOSS. But whether it flipped or not there were only 2 possible outcomes, heads or tails. But either way how can it have been so earth shattering as to have caused such a reaction? The kid could have made that dang coin flip 1000 times during that 1 toss and it probably would have landed the same side up as it did anyway, get over it for Gods sake. Vet
I think they should replay the whole friggin' game.
