Coin Toss Last Night

Anyone else notice that the kid didn't even flip the coin? He just kind of flung it and it didn't even flip over once, just landed on the ground the same way it was sitting in his hand. Tough spot to put a 10 year old kid. I suggest next year they have an adult flip the coin.

My thoughts exactly. How hard is it to teach a kid how to flip a coin and then have him practice it a few times!!

I mean...COME ON! :D

Would you guys be so pissy if it would have rotated too fast?

Seriously, the objective of a coin flip, is to have a 'fair' way to determine who gets the ball first...the main variables are wind speed, total distance the coin travels (from hand, to apex, to ground), the weight of the coin, and the rotation speed of the coin... And, given the very nature of a variable, the actual value can range from "zero" to "a whole bunch"... And, in this case, the variable for "coin rotations per second" equalled zero.

What's the big deal?

This thread is quite possibly the most ludicrous I have ever seen on a Huddle.com forum.

Did the coin flip? I have no idea. I didn't even watch the coin TOSS.

But whether it flipped or not there were only 2 possible outcomes, heads or tails.

But either way how can it have been so earth shattering as to have caused such a reaction?

The kid could have made that dang coin flip 1000 times during that 1 toss and it probably would have landed the same side up as it did anyway, get over it for Gods sake.
