muck
First, DO NOT ASSUME THERE WILL BE ANY TRADING OF PICKS DURING THE DRAFT. If there are any potential trades to be made, they must be widely known (ie, KC trading for Surtain, AZ trading for Henry, etc) and if you are assuming them to happen on/before the draft, please let us know when you make your picks. Second, post your team and the picks you'd like to see them make at those spots. Third, PLEASE try to be realistic. Meaning, Loaf, you can't ask that Cleveland takes Aaron Rogers in the second round. Lastly, I will run a post below of each homer's picks, by team, and will update it with everyone's picks... This should give each of us a sense for what teams really need to address. Two examples of how you should post for your homer team: Arizona: (assume Henry and 2.55 for Shelton and 2.44, remaining picks as follows) -- 1.08 = PacMan Jones / 2.55 = Ciatric Fiason, RB / 3.75 = Kyle Orton, QB / 3.95 = Bill Swancutt, DE / 4.111 = Wesley Britt, OT / 5.168 = Michael Munoz, OT / 7.226 = Maurice Clarett NY Giants: (no trades) 2.43 = Kevin Burnett, LB / 3.74 = some WR / 4.110 = some fat guy for the o-line / 6.186 = some fat guy for the d-line Make sense? Hope so. Have fun, guys... I'll provide an updated "want list" as people post. Here is a link (from Clubfoothead) that may be of help to some of you) Teams and their picks (in order of their first pick -- SF to BUF): San Francisco: 1.01 / 2.33 / 3.65 / 4.102 / 5.137 / 5.174 / 6.175 / 6.205 / 7.215 / 7.248 / 7.249 Miami: 1.02 / 3.70 / 4.104 / 5.138 / 7.216 Cleveland: 1.03 / 2.34 / 3.67 / 4.103 / 5.139 / 6.176 / 7.217 Chicago: 1.04 / 2.39 / 4.106 / 5.140 / 6.181 / 7.220 Tampa Bay: 1.05 / 2.36 / 3.71 / 3.91 / 4.107 / 5.141 / 5.144 / 6.178 / 6.203 / 7.221 / 7.225 / 7.253 Tennessee: 1.06 / 2.37 / 3.68 / 3.96 / 4.108 / 4.136 / 5.142 / 6.179 / 7.218 Minnesota: 1.07 / 1.18 / 2.49 / 3.80 / 4.120 / 5.154 / 6.191 / 7.219 / 7.230 Arizona: 1.08 / 2.44 / 3.75 / 3.95 / 4.111 / 5.168 / 7.226 Washington: 1.09 / 3.76 / 4.112 / 6.183 / 7.222 Detroit: 1.10 / 2.41 / 3.72 / 4.113 / 6.184 / 7.223 Dallas: 1.11 / 1.20 / 2.42 / 4.109 / 5.148 / 6.208 / 6.209 / 7.224 San Diego: 1.12 / 1.28 / 2.61 / 4.130 / 5.164 / 6.177 / 7.242 Houston: 1.13 / 2.47 / 3.73 / 3.78 / 4.114 / 5.151 / 6.188 / 7.227 Carolina: 1.14 / 2.45 / 3.79 / 4.115 / 5.149 / 5.169 / 5.171 / 6.189 / 6.207 Kansas City: 1.15 / 2.46 / 3.99 / 4.116 / 5.147 / 5.150 / 5.162 / 6.187 / 6.199 / 7.229 / 7.238 New Orleans: 1.16 / 2.40 / 3.82 / 4.118 / 5.152 / 6.193 / 7.232 Cincinnati: 1.17 / 2.48 / 3.83 / 4.119 / 5.153 / 6.1920 / 7.233 St. Louis: 1.19 / 2.50 / 3.66 / 3.81 / 4.117 / 4.134 / 5.155 / 6.192 / 6.210 / 7.231 / 7.250 / 7.251 Jacksonville: 1.21 / 2.52 / 3.87 / 4.123 / 5.157 / 6.194 / 7.237 Baltimore: 1.22 / 2.53 / 3.84 / 4.124 / 5.158 / 6.195 / 6.213 / 7.234 Seattle: 1.23 / 2.54 / 3.85 / 3.98 / 4.121 / 4.126 / 5.159 / 6.196 / 7.235 / 7.254 Green Bay: 1.24 / 2.51 / 2.58 / 3.89 / 4.125 / 5.143 / 6.180 Denver: 1.25 / 2.56 / 3.97 / 3.101 / 6.200 / 7.239 NY Jets: 1.26 / 2.57 / 3.88 / 4.127 / 5.161 / 6.198 / 7.240 Atlanta: 1.27 / 2.59 / 3.90 / 4.128 / 5.160 / 5.163 / 6.201 / 7.241 Indianapolis: 1.29 / 2.60 / 3.92 / 4.129 / 4.135 / 5.165 / 5.173 / 6.202 / 7.243 Pittsburgh: 1.30 / 2.62 / 3.93 / 4.131 / 5.166 / 6.204 / 7.228 / 7.244 Philadelphia: 1.31 / 2.35 / 2.63 / 3.77 / 3.94 / 4.132 / 5.146 / 5.167 / 5.172 / 6.211 / 7.245 / 7.247 / 7.252 New England: 1.32 / 2.64 / 3.100 / 4.133 / 5.145 / 5.170 / 6.206 / 7.246 / 7.255 Oakland: 2.38 / 3.69 / 4.105 / 6.182 / 6.185 / 6.212 / 6.214 NY Giants: 2.43 / 3.74 / 4.110 / 6.186 Buffalo: 2.55 / 3.86 / 4.122 / 5.156 / 6.197 / 7.236 Edited April 12, 2005 by muck

muck
I thought about this some more...and decided that even if we do trade for Surtain, we still should take Carlos Rogers in round one... That would really be quite a make-over for our defense! Plus, Kennison and Morton won't cut it for long. Hopefully Kris Wilson, TE (2nd rounder from last year) will be able to take over some of Morton's pass catching (to the extent Morton actually catches anything)... Plus, our offensive linemen are getting a bit long in the tooth... And, if we can get Sproles, then we can allow Dante Hall to spend more time at WR... So, without further adieu... Kansas City: (trade 3rd rounder for Patrick Surtain...even though Vermeil said yesterday (4/12) it was a less than 50/50 shot at happening) 1.15 = Carlos Rogers, CB 2.46 = a "ready to contribute" WR 4.116 = a "huge upside" WR 5.147 = project QB or Darren Sproles, RB/WR/KR 5.150 = pass rushing DE Darren Sproles, RB/WR/KR 5.162 = LB or Darren Sproles, RB/WR/KR 6.187 = QB / LB / OL / DL 6.199 = OL / DL 7.229 = OL 7.238 = OL Edited April 13, 2005 by muck

The Irish Doggy
I'll take a stab at it. Cincinnati: 1.17 / 2.48 / 3.83 / 4.119 / 5.153 / 6.1920 / 7.233 1.17: Mark Clayton - WR - Oklahoma (possibly TE Heath Miller, DT Travis Johnson, or any one of the first round DEs) 2.48: Anttaj Hawthorne - DT Wisconsin (D-line is a strong possibility if they go offense in the first. Possibly Jerome Mathis - WR Hampton if they went D first, or G/C David Bass if he falls to them.) 3.83: Donte Nicholson - S Oklahoma (possibly a center if they like one enough. Otherwise they wait for the first pick of day 2) 4.119: Jason Brown - C North Carolina (they have to take a center in round 2, 3 or 4 IMO) Rounds 5-7: TE, DE, and CB that may or may not make the team. The Bengals have 17 draft picks from 2003 and 2004 on the roster, and Marvin Lewis is on record saying he thinks most of them will stay. He's also stated that he doesn't necessarily want more picks this year because he doesn't know if they would make the team... They really don't need a lot in this draft IMO. I wouldn't be suprised to see them package some later picks to move up in rounds 2 or 3 to get a guy they like.

The only thing is both of you have them taking Merriman. What if Barron, DJ, and Merriman are gone at the 1.11. If they are, I wouldn't mind seeing them trade the 1.11 to say PIT for PIT's 1, and 2nd round pick. Still draft Ware with the 1.20, then draft Mat Joens with Pits 1st rounder, and then draft Poole and Tuck with the two second rounders. If they don't get Tuck, oh well, they still have Greg Ellis who is getting better each year, and with Ware on the other side, I think it would work out. The Irish Doggy
Scratch the Bengals Hawthorn now that he tested positive for mary Jane. I think all the worthy DT will be gone there, so they go with: DE Justin Tuck, Notre Dame or some other DE that hopefully falls to them. Again though I think rounds 1 and 2 will be WR/DL or DE/WR. DE round one more likely than DT. Edited April 15, 2005 by The Irish Doggy
